Peregrinations

Gathered in this zine is the writing and artwork created by participants of DSTL Arts's Conchas y Café creative writing classes for adults. Through poetry and short fiction, drawings and photo composition, these workshops empower participants as the artists they are, helping them develop new skills in storytelling.
The theme for Conchas y Café Zine; Volume 5, Issue 3: Peregrinations is The Human Journey. Through poetry and stories that reflect on the voyage all humanity takes, we find that with all change, some things stay the same. The transmission of human nature is recorded, challenged, and redefined, especially during the times this zine came to be. With a global pandemic affecting the story of humanity in the modern age, this collection acts as both a reflection on the past and a contemplation of our possible future.
