Each page heading now shows the title of the book . . The chapter number . . and the chapter title. This makes for an easy reference point no matter where you are in the book during your studies.I have removed the reference to verses (such as John 1:1) from all scripture and instead have centered and italicized each one, as to set it apart from Neville's teachings of that scripture. I believe the point he was making was about scripture and which actual verse it was, had no actual bearing on those interpretations.I have reserved 10 Pages for Notes, placed at the end of the book. This makes it more convenient, when referring back to them, rather than flipping through the book looking for specific notes.Also I have included suggested reading of other books at the end of the book, for those readers who are seeking more truth, from this mystical world we all live in.David Allen

Bitterness is a deeply destructive emotion. It can develop in our spirits like infection in a physical wound. It can make us ineffective and useless for God's service and could undermine the work of our church and its standing in our community. A bitter reaction will always undermine the integrity of the Gospel because the Gospel is a message that conquers bitterness. The Lord Jesus took all our bitterness on the cross where the ultimate price for sin was paid by Him. So in Christ we can find release from the oppressive bondage that bitterness produces. May God grant us the grace to always leave bitterness at the feet of the Saviour so that we can live life unburdened by the weight of a bitter spirit which ultimately will cause the most damage to ourselves.

In this world there is a proliferation of reality shows and movies that focus on the paranormal and the supernatural realm. The resurgence of interest in the supernatural appears to be pervading every area of life, including the religious. While some scholars dismiss the notion of demons and demonic possession, others readily acknowledge their reality. In particular, bible scholars, ministers, and counselors have a vested interest in this area.However, their professional opinions may differ greatly as to whether a Christian can be demon-possessed. A major reason for this impasse is the ongoing influence of the Age of Enlightenment. It represents an anti-supernatural worldview that denies the existence of the spiritual realm. Thus, in order to by-pass the influence of the Age of Enlightenment on modern day interpretation of demon possession, this study presents the records of the early Church Fathers from A.D. 100 to A. D. 500. Their original accounts are presented, critiqued, analyzed, and evaluated to determine what they communicated about demon possession and the Christian.
