This book is an annual research report on the cruise industry in China and throughout the world in 2021, contributed by Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology and Shanghai International Cruise Economic Research Center. This volume consists of four parts to discuss general and special topics on global and Chinäs cruise industry covering respond to COVID-19, cruise tourism market, public health emergency mechanism. It offers an all-rounded perspective and a strong foresight, as well as systematic studies on China's cruise industry in the context of routine COVID-19 control and the new dual circulation development pattern. And as 2021 marks the beginning of the 14th FYP period when various plans for the cruise industry were rolled out to chart the course and strategic paths toward development for the cruise industry, it focuses also on developments in China's cruise industry.

This book is an overview of the development status of China's special economic zones in 2020, including the reform pilot zones and some new special zones over the past year. It analyzes the challenges during the transformation faced by special zones, the use of resources and sustainable development, economic and social development, social security, science and technology innovation, financial system reform, and cultural industry. Also it includes a record and review of the development status of the five traditional special economic zones and Shanghai Pudong New Area and Tianjin Binhai New Area over the past year, with emphasis on case studies of different special zones.

This report is a partial result of Chinäs Quarterly Macroeconomic Model (CQMM), a project developed and maintained by the Center for Macroeconomic Research (CMR) at Xiamen University. The CMR is one of the Key Research Institutes of Humanities and Social Sciences sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China, focusing on Chinäs economic growth and macroeconomic policy. The CMR started to develop CQMM for purpose of short-term forecasting, policy analysis, and simulation in 2005.Based on CQMM, the CMR and its partners hold press conferences to release forecasts for Chinä major macroeconomic variables. Since July 2006, thirty-three quarterly reports on Chinäs macroeconomic outlook have been presented.
