This project was motivated by the upcoming fiftieth anniversary of the IFIP Human Choice and Computers (HCC) conference, the event that led to IFIP¿s Technical Committee 9 (TC 9). Although IFIP committees are mainly technical, TC 9 is dedicated to research at the intersection of information and communication technology (ICT) with society. In addition to sponsoring HCC, TC 9 supports groups that have specific research interests. In consultation with their members, the leaders of each group offer chapters about their groups¿ history and goals. An additional chapter describes TC 9¿s formation, and an appendix details the national groups that work closely with TC 9. Overall, this volume is a useful guide to the historical development of research on ICT and society, providing readers with important reference works and relevant themes, and also points to likely new trends in these domains.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the IFIP WG 8.2 and WG 9.4 Joint Working Conference on After Latour: Globalisation, Inequity and Climate Change, IFIPJWC 2023, held in Hyderabad, India, during December 7¿8, 2023.The 15 full papers presented together with 13 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 60 submissions. They are organized in topical sections as follows: climate change and digital sustainability; ICT¿s and sustainable development; IS in the education sector; privacy, trust, and surveillance; theories and methods.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 17th IFIP WG 9.4 International Conference on Social Implications of Computers in Developing Countries, ICT4D 2022, which was supposed to be held in Lima, Peru, in May 2021, but was held virtually instead due to the COVID-19 pandemic.The 40 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 58 submissions. The papers present a wide range of perspectives and disciplines including (but not limited to) public administration, entrepreneurship, business administration, information technology for development, information management systems, organization studies, philosophy, and management. They are organized in the following topical sections: digital platforms and gig economy; education and health; inclusion and participation; and business innovation and data privacy.

Digital forensics deals with the acquisition, preservation, examination, analysis and presentation of electronic evidence. Computer networks, cloud computing, smartphones, embedded devices and the Internet of Things have expanded the role of digital forensics beyond traditional computer crime investigations. Practically every crime now involves some aspect of digital evidence; digital forensics provides the techniques and tools to articulate this evidence in legal proceedings. Digital forensics also has myriad intelligence applications; furthermore, it has a vital role in cyber security ¿ investigations of security breaches yield valuable information that can be used to design more secure and resilient systems. This book, Advances in Digital Forensics XIX, is the nineteenth volume in the annual series produced by the IFIP Working Group 11.9 on Digital Forensics, an international community of scientists, engineers and practitioners dedicated to advancing the state of the art of research and practice in digital forensics. The book presents original research results and innovative applications in digital forensics. Also, it highlights some of the major technical and legal issues related to digital evidence and electronic crime investigations. This volume contains fourteen revised and edited chapters based on papers presented at the Nineteenth IFIP WG 11.9 International Conference on Digital Forensics held at SRI International in Arlington, Virginia, USA on January 30-31, 2023. A total of 24 full-length papers were submitted for presentation at the conference.

This book constitutes the refereed post-conference proceedings of the Fifth IFIP TC 12 International Conference on Computational Intelligence in Data Science, ICCIDS 2022, held virtually, in March 2022.The 28 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 96 submissions. This book contains the revised selected, refereed papers from the IFIP World Conference on Computers in Education on Towards a Collaborative Society through Creative Learning, WCCE 2022, Hiroshima, Japan, August 20-24, 2022. A total of 61 papers (54 full papers and 7 short papers) were carefully reviewed and selected from 131 submissions.
