The Black & LatinX Poetry Project is a poeticanthology with 20 emerging poets from diversebackgrounds. To this day, the publishing industrycontinues to underrepresent diverse writers and,as a result, deny readers the power and beauty ofnecessary voices. It is our hope that through aninclusive collection like this, we can amplifyrelevant cultural narratives and shine a light onthe rich humanity contained within our stories.There are those that would have us believe theBlack & LatinX poets are extinct or on their way tobecoming irrelevant. Nothing is further from thetruth. We are very much alive and we are everywhere.
