This is an extraordinary publication showing a diversity of literature, its subject matter, and form. The book's title explains much and suggests its origin. Alicja Kuberska is a Polish poet with a rare gift. Not only does she write poetry that has deep emotional resonance, her poetry reads beautifully in translation. Her poems are sometimes sad and sometimes whimsical, but they always leave an abiding impression on the reader who connects with her words which glimpse into a moment, or a thought we ourselves have known: we have all felt those emotions she writes of so eloquently.
