Admiral Sportswears bold designs and branding were controversial at the time, but helped pioneer todays multi-billion-pound sportswear industry.

Wells discusses how literacy affects human cognition from an ecological functionalism viewpoint by using the Turing machine, specifically the universal machine, as a model for the human mind. An excellent text for advanced undergraduate or graduate students of psychology, philosophy, linguistics and education.

Ecological functionalism is based on Turing's fundamental insights and extends them by drawing on contemporary theories of concurrent and distributed computation to cover a wide range of psychological domains.
