  • - The Occultism of the Inca Empire and its Sites and Rites in Chile
    av Brian O'Sullivan
    346,-

The astrotheology, sidereal mythology, and occult history of the Incas through the lens of mundane astrology planetary cycles and their esoteric practices and beliefs. The first part of this book treats of the astrotheology, mythology, and magical beliefs behind the Inca Empire and its expansion, including: - the great astrological cycles of Saturn-Jupiter conjunctions that marked the legendary "world ages" of the Andes- the esoteric beliefs and practices behind the ritual child sacrifice known as Qhapaq Hucha, or the "royal transgression"- the rituals and practices of Inca fertility and mummy-venerating death cults, and- why a young Inca prince named Titu Kusi Manqo suddenly assumed the title of Pachakuteq Inka, meaning "the noble who overturns the world age" and went on to conquer the Andes through military and magical means. The second part of this book is effectively a case study of how these belief systems were put into practice at various ritual sites and cemeteries in Chile, the most far-flung corner of its southernmost province, detailing: - a little-known ritual space near Santiago, the sexual symbolism of its construction, and the ritual tools and materia magica used both there and in the empire as a whole.- what could be pieced together about the mummified victims of ritual sacrifice in Chile, including their selection and the use and role of coca, chicha and poppets in the associated rituals.- the local lore of a one-time Inca grotto consecrated to the Andean god of the winds for the purposes of ritual sacrifice. "Many of us know of the glorious military history of the Incas; the overlords of an empire that stretched from southern Colombia to southern Chile and eastwards into Argentina and Bolivia as well as most of Peru and Ecuador, the Incas are often considered to have been akin to the Romans of the Andean world. Their empire did indeed become as large and effective, only to fall to foreign invasion amidst an internal power struggle. Comparisons with ancient Rome do not end there, however. In the first part of this book, you will learn about: - Inca astrology, mythology, astrotheology and symbolism, as well as how they were all magically interconnected with agriculture, astronomy and the empire's expansion and fall.- The secret Inca astrological prophecy of the empire's destruction, which was received before its expansion even began and was based on both precession and Jupiter-Saturn conjunction cycles.- The great Inca experiment in sympathetic magic, perhaps the largest scale magical operation ever known to be undertaken, and the rituals and ceremonies that fuelled it." • - The Astrology of Chile's Coups and Constitutions
    av Brian O'Sullivan
    410,-

A case study for mundane and natal astrology enthusiasts and students through the lens of traditional astrology This book is an astrological analysis of the correlations between major planetary cycles and significant political crises and crossroads in Chilean history from Pinochet to Piñera, Boric, and beyond. In it, you will read about the correlations of: - Saturn-Jupiter conjunctions and Chile's constitutions- Saturn-Pluto conjunctions and reigns of terror, beginning with that of Chile's founding father, Bernardo O'Higgins.- Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions with economic crisis and inequality. You will also learn about: - The same planetary transit that "coincided" with Boric's election and Pinochet surviving his attempted assassination.- Why, in astrological terms, Piñera and Boric are practically twins.- How the second round of the presidential election between Boric and Kast marked the final phase of a cycle that began with a Uranus-Saturn conjunction on the day of the plebiscite on Pinochet's rule in 1988And much more."In late 2019, with Saturn and Pluto approaching a conjunction in Capricorn, Chile experienced a wave of violent rebellion, repression and retaliation with what ostensibly began as a coordinated demonstration against a rise in metro fares. However, the protests quickly took on an anti-neoliberal tone, coloured by the common public perception that Chile had become a plutocracy tilted in favour of a small elite. The scope of the protests soon expanded to include more general demands for greater economic equality and mobility, pension reform, the resignation of President Piñera and a new constitution. Sadly, the protests were hijacked by anarchists and common criminals and quickly metastasized into a months-long downward spiral of mob violence, vandalism, looting, arson and a general sense of anarchy, all of which seriously debilitated Chile's once robust economy. Chilean democracy, restored when Saturn was last in Capricorn in 1990, was facing its dreaded Saturn return, essentially Father Time's cosmic scythe coming to reap what post-dictatorship rule had sown. This revolt posed an enormous challenge to the ruling elite and, with the gradual intensification of the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, was responded to with increasing repression and violence that resulted in human rights abuses, a common theme of uprisings during Saturn-Pluto conjunctions. President Sebastián Piñera came under scathing criticism for his response, and his ratings sunk to an all-time low of just eight per cent as protesters demanded a new constitution. In mid-November, Chile's rulers announced a referendum on constitutional reform. The vote was scheduled for 26 April 2020 but later postponed to 25 October of the same year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has only compounded the deaths, fear, economic destruction and misery that began with the riots. For many Chileans, all of this felt like a return to some of the darkest days of Chile's military dictatorship and the chaotic years preceding it; astrologically speaking, it was. This time warp was the culmination of cardinal outer planet cycles involving Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. These cycles began in 1980 with Saturn and Jupiter entering the cardinal sign of Libra to join Pluto (which had been there since October 1971), ending with the final exit of both Jupiter and Saturn from the cardinal sign of Capricorn in December 2020, and Pluto's definitive ingress into Aquarius in 2024." • - The Dark Mirror of Uranus, Neptune & Pluto
    av Brian O'Sullivan
    356,-

A compilation of case studies for mundane and natal astrology enthusiasts and students through the lens of traditional astrology This book is a treatise on the darker astrological archetypes of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto through the lenses of astronomy, the mythology of their namesakes, and the effects of their transits on world history for students of traditional astrology. In addition to a useful mnemonic device for better understanding the archetypal nature of these planets, you will also learn about their astrological configurations and cycles common to: - the Bubonic Plague, HIV/AIDS and SARS pandemics, as well as the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020.- popular revolts, political unrest and instability, including the comeback of military coups in Africa in 2021.- Russian expansionism throughout history, culminating in the invasion of Ukraine in 2022. "... although my paid astrological work has always been exclusively natal, much of my astrological interest and research has actually been mundane in nature. I could thus not entirely ignore the newly-discovered planets when studying correlations between planetary transits and world history or geopolitics. I was therefore faced with the challenge of synthesising these elements of modern astrology with the largely traditional ones of my practice into a workable whole for modern times. Nonetheless, I struggled to find some greater order that would satisfactorily incorporate these planets into my craft without intellectually forcing square pegs into circular slots by upsetting or altering what I considered to be the perfect traditional domicile rulership scheme of the Thema Mundi. This book was born of these struggles. In this book, I will discuss how I have come to understand the planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto and integrate them into my own astrological practice, which is largely traditional in nature, and the rationale behind my reconciliation of it with the pertinent elements of modern astrology which I personally find of value (without subscribing to it as a whole). Accordingly, this work seeks to communicate the astrological embodiments of the planets. This book thus includes a treatise of the scientific and astrological contexts of the discovery of these planets. It also looks briefly at the mythology of their namesakes. Furthermore, it contains a mnemonic device of contrast and comparison with other planets ("the Dark Mirror") that synthesises these archetypes and reconciles the elements and rationale of modern astrology that I adhere to with my otherwise more traditional-leaning style. Finally, this book describes their transits, supported by historical examples and comprehensive case studies to further convey their archetypal meanings. Please note that these descriptions are by no means exhaustive and I focus somewhat more on the darker manifestations of these paradigms in this book; hence, you are less likely to read about the "transformational" qualities of Pluto or the "mystical" and "psychic" aspects of Neptune here as you are in a book oriented towards more modern, psychological astrology.."
