The things I share with you in this book are for your good. It is filled with many topics for you to glean wisdom and understanding from; it should be read with an open mind, knowing that everything you have already gone through and will go through has been experienced by someone else. So, whatever challenges or obstacles you may face, you do not have to do it alone. If you listen to wisdom, she will save you from evil (Proverbs 2:2, 12). There are so many challenges females have to face daily from learning how to love ourselves and others, setting boundaries and standards to protect ourselves, and managing relationships. And in all that we do, we have to balance these things well to stay afloat. Some of the issues we fail to address about ourselves and our lives in the initial stages come back around as we progress through life and experience different relationships.

The parent-child relationship is the most important relationship we will ever have. This special bond affects thephysical, emotional, and social development of the child and thus is the foundation for possibly every otherrelationship the child will have. Often this relationship creates the basis for the child's belief system and mayaffect who and what the child becomes. Parenting today is not like it has ever been in any other generation.
