Penny Mills had grown up watching movies and reading books about people falling in love at first sight, but she never believed it to be real; until now. The book is set in a ranching area. It is centered around Penny Mills who comes from a large family; she has wanted to be a vet for as long as she can remember. And Jake Williams who moved from New York to Hendersonville, TN after the death of his wife, so he could spend more time with his four-year-old daughter. Both Penny and Jake are excited about starting this new phase of their lives, but neither expect life to head in the direction it does.
