In this work, David Keenan translates and contextualizes over 100 tales from the "Notes from the Hut for Examining the Subtle" - a collection of tales and observations by Chi Yun (1724-1805). The translations comprise tales and anecdotes about Chi Yun's household, colleagues and neighbours.
