Author and Artist Christina J Fox. It's the 10th December 2023 as I write this. I am 54 years old. As I write I have been an Artist most my life a skill I remember wanting to do since I was a child as long as I can remember. I recently thought I have done 100s of paintings and if I can't sell them I would still find it hard to stop my gift because it's my life. So I thought, what can I do if I paint slower? I thought if I can try a story I would still be able to use my Art with the story. I decided that a story to include Imagination would be great. I have loved using my imagination with my Art. So I decided to write this story for 12 - 18 year olds but I could see some adults might enjoy it also. The story is of a 12 year old girl with a great imagination based in Ballyclare Ireland in 1947. I don't want to say too much to spoil the story except that she goes to many places with her imagination. The story is based on myself as a Roman Catholic with an Irish and Artistic background. I have lived in Peterborough UK most of my life. I hope 12 - 18 year olds are able to understand and enjoy this book. I will leave my gmail address if anyone wants to get in touch. My reasons for producing this book is for having a lot of Art work hanging around that has been done for years about twenty years as a diary of my illness. The illness is Epilepsy with Psychosis. I have done plenty of writing also but thought it would be good idea to show my illness through art with some writing to go with the paintings. I am from an Irish family background Roman Catholic upbringing. Ten of us five girls, and three boys. I want to show that mental illness is an individual illness depending on your upbringing etc. My illness got worse after my teens and my main reasons that made my illness feel worse was my Catholic upbringing it made me have obsessions with Religion, Egyptians and Love. I'm now 48 years old writing this and am still quite ill as I'm trying to make this book and will be surprised if I see a result as a book produced at the end of this it will also be interesting to see if people would be interested.

The book begins with my first memory of residential schools, the door slamming and taking me by surprise. My family was gone and I was left alone with nothing but the suitcase my grandmother so lovingly packed with a traditional red dress she had sewn for me, a pair of moccasins, a hairbrush and a doll that was meant to comfort me. Within minutes, my case was taken never to be seen again. I waited years for my name to be called so that I could return home. But when I did, I was never the same again."My Suitcase: Nii Sookayis" is a story of triumph and celebration in how far I have come with my healing. It reminds the reader to take the values and lessons that mean the most to them everywhere they go and to always share their gifts with the world because there is no one quite like them.

We all know that loss is the “great big sadâ€? of life. Grief is a journey we all take in life. How do parents and caregivers help children navigate grief? The Great Big Sad follows familiar siblings Josh and Mia (from Tell God How You Feel and God Hears Your Heart) as they face the death of their beloved grandmother. It is a discipleship tool for parents and caregivers in helping children learn that people grieve in different ways, how to talk about grief, ways to honor and remember a loved one, and how Jesus knows and understands their tears.Â

Even good things can become idols if we give them central importance in our lives. Having children changes everything, and as mothers, we risk looking for life, purpose and meaning in motherhood. While being a mother brings its unique set of challenges, these years of raising children and helping them grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord provide an opportunity to grow in our own Christlikeness as well. Writing from her own personal experience as a mom, Christina Fox encourages mothers to prayerfully and thoughtfully examine their own hearts, and to let God use motherhood as a means of sanctification. Split into three sections, the first chapter looks at the meaning motherhood;chapters 2‿4 are about idolatry; chapters 5‿9 focus on a few different idols that mothers might worship (not an exhaustive list, but a common few); and the final chapters are about facing idols, dethroning them, and turning our heart back to the One true God. Chapter titles include:Part I1.   The Sanctifying Work of Motherhood2.   Made for Worship3.   What is Idolatry?4.   Identifying Idols in Our LivesPart II5.   The Idol of Children6.   The Idol of Achievement and Success7.   The Idol of Comfort8.   The Idol of Control9.   The Idol of ApprovalPart III10. Turning from Our Idols11. Turning to Christ

For many of us, we might busy ourselves with projects or work long hours to keep our mind off our pain. We might look at our circumstances and seek to change our situation in the hope that we will finally feel at peace once our life has changed. The question is - How often do you look to God in His Word for help and hope? How often do you turn to Him when you feel anxious, distraught, or abandoned? How often do you bring your burdens to your Savior? Take a journey of hope through the Psalms of lament with Christina Fox.
