God sent Jonah, His prophet, to speak to the wicked people of Nineveh the message of repentance. Jonah refused to obey God; instead, he boarded a ship and went to a different place. God sent a violent storm to overthrow the ship Jonah was traveling in, God also prepared a gigantic fish to swallow Jonah and take him to Nineveh.
