When wearing my Proud American Veteran hat, I often encounter people of all ages who thank me for my service. I'm a little embarrassed because I gave so little compared to others who gave life or limb. One day I struck up a conversation with a vet who had been in the thick of the fight in Vietnam and had given much. When I apologetically told him about my job, he looked me in the eye and said, "Brother, you served where you were sent."
