This, the 15th annual volume of the Index, contains data from public opinion polls in more than 180 countries and regions, including 18 countries in Eastern and Central Europe.

The latest volume in this series of indices has expanded coverage, now including 71 countries where surveys were conducted and referencing 105 countries and regions. Data compiled by 190 research firms is presented. Includes survey data on atoll nuclear testing, European business leaders, and international relations in the Far East.

The 1983-84 Index documents international opinion on problems such as terrorism, the continuing crisis in the Middle East, global economic imbalances, the conventional and nuclear arms races, and nuclear disarmament.
