In Tired Wonder, Eric Overby offers a personal account of his last three years. 2021-2023 has seen both the continuation of a struggle with infertility and the birth of his daughter. Every stranger has a story. Eric Overby crafted February Rain after seeing a lonely traveler walking down the highway and asking himself why the man was walking in the freezing rain. Within minutes, Eric had written the title song. The song turned into an album, the lyrical pilgrimage of a man who comes home to find that his wife has left him. Upon finding the note she has left, he leaves everything. What he finds along the journey is himself and the life he has forgotten.

You often use your senses without even realizing you?re doing it. Eric Overby uses his to recall moments of his past and to make sense of the life he lives in this moment. His practice of poetry, mindfulness, and remembrance all cause him to use his senses to work out why he is the way he is. Many times, memories are connected to the senses. How many things do you like because the taste or smell of it reminds you of a childhood memory? How many things are we attached to because our senses tell us we need them? Sight, smell, hearing, taste, touch, and the mind (which is the sixth sense, according to Eastern thought) all tell us who we are and inform us of the world in which we live.
