The church exists to worship and glorify God. The church is called to be a pillar and foundation of truth. In 1 Timothy 3:15, Paul writes that the church is the "household of God" and the "church of the living God," indicating its role as a bastion of divine truth. The Church, as a pillar of faith, has always faced adversaries. These enemies challenge its teachings, question its authority, and attempt to undermine its influence. In this book, we will delve into the different types of enemies the Church encounters and explore strategies to address them. By understanding these foes and equipping ourselves with knowledge, we can fortify the Church and its followers against their attacks. In an age where moral relativism and secular ideologies prevail, the church stands as the custodian of biblical principles and teachings. False teachers manipulate and distort the teachings of religious faith for personal gain or to promote their agenda, leading individuals astray from the true principles and values of their faith. It is the responsibility of churches to protect their congregations and ensure the integrity of their religious teachings. By actively addressing the challenge of false teachers, churches can preserve the authenticity of their faith, promote spiritual growth, foster unity within their community, and ultimately guide individuals toward a deeper understanding and connection with their religious principles.Addressing false teachings is crucial for maintaining the credibility and reputation of the church. False teachings can tarnish the image of a religious community and erode trust in its leadership. By openly confronting and dispelling false teachings, churches demonstrate their commitment to truth and integrity, reassuring their followers that they prioritize accurate teachings over personal gain or faulty ideologies.

The Bible clearly teaches that as believers, we are citizens of two kingdoms. As Christians, it is important to thoroughly understand the spiritual realm and the forces we are up against. One of the most important aspects of this realm is the presence of demons - malevolent spiritual beings that seek to harm and deceive us. Understanding the nature of demons and how to combat them is essential to the Christian faith. While many resources are available on the topic of demonology, few are specifically tailored to African Christians. This is a problem, as the spiritual landscape of Africa is unique in many ways, and African Christians face unique challenges when it comes to spiritual warfare. One of the most pressing of these challenges is the prevalence of syncretism - the mixing of traditional African religions with Christianity. Many Africans hold onto beliefs and practices from their pre-Christian religions, and this can lead to confusion and spiritual vulnerability. In addition, African Christians are often confronted with witchcraft, sorcery, and other forms of occultism regularly.

Praise and worship play a central role in the life of a Christian, as they are essential components of our relationship with God. In biblical terms, praise refers to the act of expressing admiration, gratitude, and adoration towards God for who He is and what He has done. At the same time, worship encompasses all aspects of our lives that honor and glorify God. Together, praise and worship create a harmonious symphony between God and His people, fostering a deep connection and intimacy with the Divine. Biblical praise and worship can take various forms, such as singing hymns, playing musical instruments, offering prayers, and expressing thanksgiving and adoration through words and actions. These practices can be observed in both individual and collective settings, highlighting the importance of both personal devotion and corporate worship within the Christian faith. One significant aspect of biblical praise and worship is its emphasis on God's attributes. When we praise God, we acknowledge His eternal nature, His wisdom, His love, and His power. This recognition allows us to humbly approach Him, knowing He is sovereign and worthy of all our praise. Furthermore, such acknowledgment helps to reshape our perspective, moving our focus away from our circumstances and onto the greatness of our God. In addition to praising God for who He is, biblical worship also involves acknowledging His mighty deeds and provisions in our lives. By recounting His faithfulness and goodness, we recognize that everything we have is a gift from God. Expressing our gratitude through worship helps to cultivate a heart of contentment and trust in His plan for our lives.

In today's world, fear is a common feeling, with news headlines constantly reminding us of the dangers that lurk around every corner. The physical manifestations of fear are well-known: increased heart rate, sweating, trembling, and a feeling of tension in the body. These reactions are part of the body's "fight or flight" response, which prepares us to either face the danger or run away from it. This response is triggered by the release of adrenaline and other hormones, which prepare the body to respond to the perceived threat. Despite this, there are practical ways in which we can control our fear and live a happier, more fulfilling life. One of the most famous verses in the Bible about fear is found in 2 Timothy 1:7, which says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." This verse reminds us that fear is not a gift or fruit of the Holy Spirit. Instead, God has given us power, love, and a sound mind to overcome fear. Fear is thus a foe that needs to be vanquished in all its forms. The only healthy fear that believers should possess is the fear of God. Another way that the Bible addresses fear is through the concept of trust. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." This verse encourages us to trust in God and not rely on our understanding. When we trust in God, we can have peace and confidence in the face of fear. The Church has been empowered by the Word of God and the indwelling Holy Spirit to overcome fear and other wiles of the devil. With the right support and guidance, it is possible to overcome your fears and live a more fulfilling life as you serve God and his people in the world today. We can find security, acceptance, and approval in Him, who knows us and loves us unconditionally. We can seek His will and His glory, not ours or others. We can be honest, humble, and courageous, knowing that God is on our side. We can love others, not for what they can give us, but for who they are in God's eyes.

There is a widespread ignorance concerning the ministries of Ephesians 4. This book seeks to address current thinking about Christ's gifts to His Church from an African context. Many believers have asked several questions such as: Are the gifts of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers still present in the Church today? Is the apostle the founder of the church? Which ministry gift is more powerful than the other? What role do these ministry gifts play into bringing the Church to the fullness of the stature of Christ? The book seeks to guide believers into a fruitful understanding of this important and yet most ignored topic in Christian teaching.
