My life seemed of no particular use. I did not fit in well with my fellows around me. Over time I decided, rather than try to alter myself, I would try to alter my surroundings. After achieving a degree of success I thought it might be helpful to others, to write my story down. Hence 'A Square Hole for a Square Peg' came to be written.

After the disaster at the end of Part 1, life for Nemroz became very different. This is the story of him trying to be a family man.

Long ago, in a far off land, the people had temples to many gods. One was to a fertility god called Farago. It was run by a High Priest and his priesthood. They were all donated to the priesthood when they were babies. The story tells of a disaster that destroyed the temple and completely changed the lives of the priests who survived.

A young slave girl was bought by an aristocratic businessman. The story tells how their lives developed and where that led them.

I hurried back to where I had left Eldritch. He fumbled with his music, then asked, "e;What music do you know?"e; I admitted the only time I sang was in church. We worked hard, enjoyed each other's company and in the evenings, we made music together. With his other hand he took my hand and led me to another door that left the music room. Kiss me and never let go."e; Considering how strange Eldritch's appearance was, it was amazing how he could blend in or just disappear.
