I conceived and produced this manual as a natural continuation of my previous one entitled "Model Making: A Visual Course" in which I explained how to make models of artistic-decorative elements and their relative silicone rubber molds.Now with this new manual, I will teach you how to use polyester resin, how to pour it into silicone rubber molds, and thus achieve the reproduction of the models created in the previous course.We will use resin combined with dyes and mixed with various materials to create spectacular and ever-new effects, the only limit is our imagination and desire to experiment. As a matter of fact, polyester resin can be mixed with or incorporate an infinite number of materials such as mineral, metallic, and vegetable powders or granulates, dyes, small objects, and so on.As usual, I will show you all the steps of the process through lots of commented photos, so that everything is as clear as possible. Unlike my previous manuals, where the photos were in black and white, this one will have color photos, precisely to show the beautiful effects that can be achieved with these materials.

Il secondo di una serie di corsi visuali tematici in cui condividerò con i lettori la mia lunga esperienza di scultore e designer.Attraverso 270 foto a colori commentate guiderò curiosi e appassionati nella realizzazione di un ritratto a tutto tondo in argilla partendo delle foto di un viso.Il testo fornisce tutte le informazioni sul tipo di argilla più idoneo alla realizzazione dell'opera, gli strumenti per lavorarla e i consigli per cuocerla in forno. Vengono inoltre date indicazioni su come realizzare ottime foto del soggetto da cui prendere ispirazione per il ritratto.Le fotografie dimostrano efficacemente le corrette posizioni e i movimenti delle mani e degli strumenti per modellare correttamente e proficuamente l'argilla.Il corso non è rivolto a scultori esperti ma a chi intende iniziare ad impegnarsi nell'arte scultorea. Le tecniche qui proposte sono scaturite dalle molteplici esperienze dell'autore: dalla sua attività scultorea che dura da quaranta anni e dalla sua esperienza nell'insegnamento nei licei della scuola italiana e in corsi privati per adulti.In base a queste esperienze si è giunti alla conclusione che nell'insegnamento le immagini sono molto più efficaci di mille parole.In linea con quanto detto sopra, il manuale è composto essenzialmente da foto commentate. Nella versione ebook. le immagini sono a colori, mentre nella versione cartacea sono in bianco e nero per evitare un costo eccessivo di stampa. Tuttavia, poiché l'argilla è di color grigio, ai fini dell'efficacia del corso, il colore è ininfluente.Non posso garantirvi che al primo esercizio voi raggiungiate la perfezione scultorea ma posso assicuravi che il metodo proposto in questo manuale è il più breve per raggiungere ottimi risultati.
