The book is for the manager tackling the integration of multiple management standards, such as for quality, environment, energy reduction, occupational health & safety, finances and other requirements that we often end up bolting together with resulting inefficiencies due to conflicting approaches and duplication of efforts. A well-integrated management system will simultaneously provide people with a guide to prevent doing wrong and a platform to doing right from. A bad system will put them in a straightjacket and prevent them from doing right. The book is divided into bite-sized sections, overall introducing a management system framework that is compatible with and combines various management systems standards published by the International Standards Organization. The framework is suitable for the integrated implementation of ISO 9001(2015), ISO14001, ISO 50001/ EN 16001, OHSAS 18001 and most other recognised industry specific management standards.

La "e;Syntaxe de l'ancien occitan"e; est essentiellement une revision de l'ouvrage du meme auteur "e;The Syntax of Medieval Occitan"e;, paru chez Niemeyer en 1986. Le livre est le premier a presenter une vue d'ensemble de la syntaxe occitane. Les regles syntactiques sont illustrees par de nombreux exemples tires pour la plupart de la poesie des troubadours, mais la documentation s'etend a d'autres domaines egalement: chartes, textes archaiques (le "e;Boeci"e; et "e;la Sainte-Foi d'Agen"e;), vies de saints (la "e;Vie de Sainte Enimie"e;), ouvrages narratifs ("e;Flamenca"e; et "e;Jaufre"e;) et divers textes en prose et en vers recueillis par Appel, Suchier, Bartsch, Koschwitz et d'autres anthologistes. La description syntactique ne se limite donc pas a la langue des troubadours, mais s'applique tres generalement a l'occitan comme on l'ecrivait depuis les debuts jusqu'au XVe siecle. La terminologie est traditionnelle, et la description se veut synchronique, meme si elle couvre plusieurs siecles d'usage syntactique. Le livre rendra service a tous ceux qui s'interessent a la langue, la litterature et la culture occitanes du Moyen Age, et il comblera une regrettable lacune dans la philologie romane. La consultation du livre est facilitee par la presence d'une table des matieres bien etoffee, d'un index des mots et d'un index analytique.

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) provides a sound understanding of what should naturally occur in design. Its principles are essential knowledge for design and system developers. We can apply QFD to any project that, for one, is a development activity and, two, has a definable customer. This includes products, parts, materials, services, events, software and websites. The book describes the 4-phase QFD approach. The approach conforms to the ISO 16355-1:2015 guidance standard. The House of Quality is explained, as a planning tool for transferring the priorities in customer and stakeholder requirements into the final product. The book further introduces some development tools and techniques often associated with QFD. The Appendix provides a walk-through example of the evolved 4-phase QFD approach, demonstrating the workings of the House of Quality and tools. The Appendix further illustrates a 4-phase QFD example using a simplified substitute for the House of Quality.

Examines the Old Provencal language on the basis of philological interpretations of a few selected texts, both prose and poetry. The secondary source material includes a razo and two vidas from the troubadour biographies, as well as three poems selected from the works of Bernart de Ventadorn, the Countess of Dia, and Giraut de Bornelh.

Customers' experiences of quality depend on, one, the product or service being designed to match their needs and, two, the operations system consistently producing and delivering it as was intended by the designer.
