For centuries, Black Female Artist were scrubbed out of the art fraternity and as such lost fame and more importantly, fortunes by the powers that be at the time. Now, it is up to us, people with a conscience to fix the wrongs of the past. The arts in general and BFAs in particular, as described in this book, benefits not just individuals exposed to it, but the entire society by proving creative avenues to tap into our intellectual strengths and emotional feelings, thus impacting the masses and challenging the status quo. This book features over 500 BFAs or expatriates seeking to elevate the arts in some underdeveloped countries with their expertise, not only as artists themselves but by modeling art for others to learn from them. For reasons such as these, we need to support the arts and BFA artists by purchasing this book at https://www.lulu.com/spotlight/indiana-robinsonThe works listed are brought to you by InJa Ink PPP - People, Production, and Promotion, an art collective that aims to feature the artistic and literary works BFAs and other artists as well.

If you are tired of tired of going to the doctors, filling umpteen prescriptions, taking hundreds of pills over the course of a lifetime with little to no results because you are still being plagued by the same illness, this book might be for you. It features over 170 different plants and herbs with medicinal and healing value. As you will see readers, we concluded the book with not only the herbs/roots that we believe is best suited for our needs by naming plants named for animals as well uses of Diaspora herbs and roots, but we also demonstrated the plants' applicability in real life. For safety purposes, we have to issue this caution that you must visit with your medical team to discuss if this is the right approach for you before embarking on a course of these natural herbs and root mostly in tea form. Good luck readers.

Indiana: As an adult, I have always collected Jamaican proverbs from as far back as I can remember and I thought it was time to issue a book of my collection but with a twist. My book is titled, A Collection of Animal-Inspired Jamaican Proverbs and Social Commentary, Infused with Songs and Artists. Of course, the twist is that it requires readers to fill in the animal blanks while enjoying a trip down memory lane with Jamaican songs related to the proverbs along with the name of the artist. The trip down memory lane for me was less challenging than it could have been because of my love for listening to old reggae music and I have a spouse in the reggae musical fraternity.Herma: I have a fascination with any utterance or literary device that requires some "working out" to get the full understanding or deeper meaning in the message being conveyed. Metaphors, fables, and apologies fall into this category, but proverbs are a favorite because they are shorter and often more striking in its effect. A proverb can sum up a situation so succinctly and so effectively, that no lengthy explanations or discourse is necessary. It is no wonder then that proverbs have been used in popular songs in Jamaica and other islands in the Caribbean. If however you also know your Jamaican songs from mento days to ska, rocksteady, and now reggae and all its many forms, you will do not just ok, but great. Let me not stop here. If you know the artists who recorded the songs, you will be in the best position to excel at this game! You might be curious as to why we focused the book on animal proverbs only. My interest grew out of working on my 20-plus children's book series Also, we as a collaborative always had an interest in proverbs as evidenced by two proverb-inspired social commentary books honoring the Pioneers' Reggae Group for dedicating 50 years to the Jamaican musical fraternity. The books are entitled: First Book of Proverbs and Social Commentary in and of the Songs and Second Book of Proverbs and Social Commentary in and of the Songs. In these two publications, not only did we expound on the Pioneers' songs embedded with proverbs; but we also added related proverbs based on the context of the songs. You can see readers, we managed to combine the two efforts, proverbs and music, into this one activity to confound your mind and get you going crazy in figuring out these puzzles. Enough of the chatter! Let's get this ball rolling and start those blanks-a-filling.

Improving the Quality of Life for Veterans with PTSD: The Healing Therapy Way! Is a self-help guide for veterans (and others) suffering from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. The book is dedicated to Marine LCpl Janos Lutz who suffered from PTSD and who subsequently took his own life at age 24 after deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. The aim of the book is to save the lives of our soldiers by introducing various treatment options including art therapy. We wish to thank LCpl Lutz's mother, Janine Lutz, for bringing this important topic to the fore despite her own grief over losing her only son to this dreaded disease called PTSD. The book is grounded in several theories related to PTSD and it acknowledges the federal government's legislative interventions by three past and present presidents: Obama, Trump, and Biden. The book explains the causes, signs, and symptoms of PTSD so that one can recognize it from the onset and seek treatment, whether medical or non-medical. Some of the proposed therapies are Adult Coloring Therapy, Glass-Blowing, Therapeutic Healing Gardens, Pet Therapy, Healing Circles, and Resilience Through Art. It should be noted that Online therapies are available as well as Compensated Work Therapy to aid in Post-deployment Social Interactions. This book is dedicated in the honor of firefighter, Stephen Gerard Siller, who gave up his life in the Twin Towers in the 9/11 attacks. The proceeds, 50% thereof, will be donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, honoring America's Fallen First Responders, Veterans, and their Families for over 20 years.Endorsements: From a first responder and military family for over one hundred years, "Improving the Quality of Life for Veterans with PTSD" is a well-written and thoughtful read. All I can say, speaking for my family of Army, Marines, Firefighters, Police Officers, and Medical Specialists is: "A BIG THANK YOU!" Richard Rotanz, PhD, Rotanz and Associates"Improving the Quality of Life for Veterans with PTSD: The Healing Therapy Way!" by Dr. Indiana Robinson and Dr. Robert L. Wolf, just begins to scratch the surface of a misunderstood injury and is an excellent start to what's needed. Continued Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) research is required to help guide clinicians away from a one size fits all approach!Shawn A. Disbennett, Master Gunnery Sergeant, USMC (Ret)

Readers may wonder what is my interest in Surrealism and its rebellious 20-20 (20 more famous and 20 less popular) women artists? Well, I took my first art history class at Broward Community College under the tutelage of Mr. G. I. Sullivan and never looked back. Given the historical times they lived in, where women were literally seen (in the artworks), but not heard of as the artist, only as the muse/model. As a result, we did not hear much about them. Before diving into who the women artists were, its best to trace the historical periods from ancient or the prehistoric period, through the middle ages, and finally present times. Bear in mind that the periods overlap and can reemerge (Artland Editors, n.d.; Sayre, 1997). Over the centuries, we learned of all the male artists. Names like Picasso, Dali, Rivera, and Hopper, as well as many of the more popularly known old masters like Rembrandt, Monet, da Vinci, Michelangelo, van Gogh, and Warhol that quickly rolled off our tongues. But what of the great female artists over the centuries? Do we know of them? The aim of the book is to have the great women artists' names entrenched in our memories and rolling off our tongues too. In this section, the book will also acquaint you with some of the these great artists (not Surrealists at this juncture), beginning with the renaissance period and ending with the twentieth century (Sayre, 1997). Surrealism is defined as an European cultural movement, developed after World War I in which artists depict "unnerving, illogical scenes and developed techniques to allow the unconscious mind to express itself" ("Surrealism", 2022) that infected artists around the world. The first volume of the book looks at a random sample the lives and works of Surrealism's 20 More Popularly Known (MPK) artists. Do you want to know who they are? Read on.

My spiritual journey reads like a personal biography and is quite fleeting and more like that of a wanderer following my nomadic upbringing. The purpose of this book is to share with readers my spiritual journey from my ancestors, real or imagined, in the Church of England, Spanish Town, Jamaica back in the 19th century; Alpha Catholic Chapel, North Street Seventh-day Adventist Church (and school), the Christian Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, St. Jude's Catholic Church, St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Church of the Reconciliation (Catholic arm), Latter-day Saints (Mormons) and The Good Shepherd Catholic church (Portmore). I also interacted with non-denominational churches, and with radio ministries. It should be noted that I attended several other churches over my lifetime, but mostly in passing such as on vacation, as an invitee, or attending a christening, wedding, or a funeral. Hopefully, you will follow me as I traverse the ins and outs of divinity in my life. The book also contains historical artifacts on Jamaican churches during slavery and beyond.

Unsure of who you are and what stock you came from biologically? Too scared of what you might discover if you dive into the dark secret world of ancestry tracing? Well, I took the plunge using the Mormon's FamilySearch.org to dig up untold of birth, marriage, travel, and death records and DNA testing to solve the mysteries of my bloodline. I did - spit, spat, and swabbed - three times using genealogy websites: 23andMe to search for my paternal lineage, Ancestry to treasure-hunt for my maternal legacy, and MyHeritage to seek out my foreign biological birthright.Learn vicariously, through me and my DNA detective-sleuthing work, what was revealed and what wasn't. I have now written 20 books on various genres: arts, music, biographies, academics, poetry, and short stories - but this one's different - I was soccer-punched, kicked to the curb, and almost died as I interacted with living things in the biosphere, as I toiled the mountains and the lowlands of the lithosphere, the murky twist and turns via the deep-blue Caribbean sea and the vast Atlantic and Pacific oceans of the hydrosphere, flew into and almost disappeared into the thin air of the atmosphere as I travailed the Geographic Sphere!Find out if I am among the illegitimate or legitimate contenders. Yes, there is dissension - see how the ensuing battle royal unfold right in front of your own eyes. Who married, then separated, deserted, or divorced whom? What entanglements and traps did the spider weave and who was caught in its web? Where in the world did the ancestors run and hide out the storm that brewed? When did they arrive from or migrated to Africa, Jamaica, Cuba, Suriname or wherever around the globe? What were my biological ancestors' ethnicities? Dutch, Creole, Maroons, Indigenous peoples? Follow me as I rummage through old photographs and other relics. How did my ancestors and their descendants live and how did they die? What languages did they speak? Why was there child abandonment, bigamous deceit, resentment from sibling rivalry and genetic cousins, disownership of parent, and whistleblowing? Which generation won and which lost? Did my brick wall crumble and fall or is it still standing erect? Were the results of my ancestral quest and what I unearthed biologically fruitful on my family tree?Read inside the pages of all three volumes and companions to discover the riveting escapades of my tryst and its up's and down's, in's and out's, and facts and legends...geneagogically.
