In 1962 Marcus Levin was awarded a Medal of Honor by King Olav of Norway for his efforts.

This story reveals the fate of two Jewish families during the German invasion and subsequent Holocaust in Norway in 1940. Inspired by the author's own experience growing up Jewish in 1940s Norway, it brings readers both young and old into the touching struggles of one incredible family.

This book tells of growing up Jewish in Norway during and after WWII. As a young child, the author escaped from the Nazis to neutral Sweden with her immediate family. The author's identity as a Norwegian and a Jew led her to explore previously unopened doors in writing this memoir.
