Ziel dieses Buches ist es, die derzeitige Struktur des Abfallsektors zu analysieren und den Ansatz des informellen Managements als Hebel für eine effiziente Abfallwirtschaft zu begreifen. In einem Kontext, in dem der Abfallsektor durch institutionelle Schwächen, organisatorische Mängel und eine defizitäre Finanzierung gekennzeichnet ist, zeigt das Buch, dass ein intelligentes Abfallmanagementsystem durch die Gründung der Nationalen Agentur für Umwelt und intelligente Entwicklung, die Einführung des Mechanismus der Rechnungsstellung an alle Nutzer der öffentlichen Abfallentsorgung, die Gründung des kamerunischen Verbands der Öko-Recycler und schließlich die Entwicklung einer digitalen Plattform, "e-waste", nach dem Vorbild des informellen Modells geschaffen werden kann. Das Werk richtet sich an Studenten, Lehrer, Stadtmanager und Entscheidungsträger.

The approach to waste management in African cities is essentially curative, despite the fact that many of them, particularly Douala and Yaoundé, have the potential to guarantee sustainable urban waste management. The aim of this book is to analyse the current structure of the waste sector and to understand the informal management approach as a lever for effective waste management. In a context where the waste sector is characterised by institutional weaknesses, organisational shortcomings and a lack of funding, this book shows that it is possible to establish an intelligent waste management system by creating the National Agency for the Environment and Intelligent Development, introducing a mechanism for billing all users of the public waste service, setting up the Cameroon Federation of Eco-Recoverers, and finally designing a digital platform: e-waste, modelled on the informal model. This work is aimed at students, teachers, city managers and decision-makers.

A abordagem da gestão dos resíduos nas cidades africanas é essencialmente curativa, apesar de muitas delas, nomeadamente Douala e Yaoundé, terem potencial para garantir uma gestão sustentável dos resíduos urbanos. O objetivo deste livro é analisar a estrutura atual do sector dos resíduos e compreender a abordagem da gestão informal como uma alavanca para uma gestão eficaz dos resíduos. Num contexto em que o sector dos resíduos se caracteriza por fraquezas institucionais, deficiências organizacionais e falta de financiamento, este livro mostra que é possível estabelecer um sistema inteligente de gestão de resíduos através da criação da Agência Nacional para o Ambiente e o Desenvolvimento Inteligente, da introdução de um mecanismo de faturação para todos os utilizadores do serviço público de resíduos, da criação da Federação dos Eco-Recuperadores dos Camarões e, finalmente, da conceção de uma plataforma digital: e-waste, modelada no modelo informal. Este trabalho destina-se a estudantes, professores, gestores municipais e decisores.

L'approccio alla gestione dei rifiuti nelle città africane è essenzialmente curativo, nonostante molte di esse, in particolare Douala e Yaoundé, abbiano il potenziale per garantire una gestione sostenibile dei rifiuti urbani. L'obiettivo di questo libro è analizzare l'attuale struttura del settore dei rifiuti e comprendere l'approccio di gestione informale come leva per una gestione efficace dei rifiuti. In un contesto in cui il settore dei rifiuti è caratterizzato da debolezze istituzionali, carenze organizzative e mancanza di fondi, questo libro dimostra che è possibile creare un sistema intelligente di gestione dei rifiuti attraverso la creazione dell'Agenzia nazionale per l'ambiente e lo sviluppo intelligente, l'introduzione di un meccanismo di fatturazione per tutti gli utenti del servizio pubblico dei rifiuti, la creazione della Federazione camerunese degli eco-riciclatori e, infine, la progettazione di una piattaforma digitale: e-waste, modellata sul modello informale.
