Liebst du Gott vom Herzen, dann kannst du nicht anders, du mußt und wirst alles lassen, was ihm zuwider ist; jedes Wort, das du reden willst, überlegst du, jede Handlung, die du verrichten willst, prüfst du; und findest du das Wort oder das Werk eitel oder unnütz, du unterläßt es, du verzichtest darauf aus Liebe zu Gott und seiner Ehre, und sündigst nicht; dich ehren die Engel, dich achtet und schützt das himmlische Heer; rein ist dein Gebet, und es wird dir die Bitte gewährt, du hast freien Zugang zu Gott, du stehst im Freundesbund mit ihm, und dem du zeitlich entsagt hast, das ist dir zur Quelle des Trostes und des süßesten Seelenfriedens in Gott geworden; gestärkt ist das Herz, ermutigt alle Kräfte, kein böser Gedanke kann ferner deiner Meister werden, dich nimmermehr ziehen in tieferen Abgrund.
