This is the story of the Muslim prophet Yusha' ibn Nun (as), known in English as Joshua, who was both the servant and the inheritor of Moses (as). It is the story of heroic deeds and spiritual triumphs, but also of humbleness and submission to God. Content to remain in the shadow of his master, Yusha's (as) own story remains partially hidden. To help uncover it, a comparison is made to 'Ali ibn Abi Talib (kw) the companion of the Prophet Muhammad (sas). Warriors, scholars, and spiritual champions, they teach us something about the path of service whose destination is the holy land.

The aim of this book is quite simply to tell the story of Jesus and his family, as understood in Islam; to tell it in an engaging way that enables the reader to spend some quality time in the company of a few of the greatest men and women who have ever walked our planet; to create the space to consider their words and their actions, to think about their lives and characters, to get to know them more intimately and, hopefully in the process, to establish some kind of a real and personal relationship with them.

We have been ordered by our loving Creator, Allah 'Azza wa Jalla, to believe in Him and to believe in His Angels, His Books, and His Prophets. His Books we can hold in our hands and read. His Prophets are human beings similar to ourselves who have left their perfect words and actions as a lighted path for us to follow. But His Angels are a special creation whose presence in our lives we are required to believe in and yet whose existence we can neither see nor confirm. This is a book about some of the Angels who have the closest connection to us and the greatest involvement in our daily lives.It is illustrated by 30 colorful original paintings being careful not to show faces.A good choice for children between the ages of 7 and 77.

This is a book for young children who like to have the same book read to them over and over and for the parents who have to read it. The animal sounds, word play, and surprise ending provide amusement for both and hopefully teach children the proper way to give salams at the same time. It is short, fast-paced, and colorful.

It was reported from both Sayyidatuna 'Aisha (radhi Allahu 'anha) and Sayyiduna 'Ali (karam Allahu wajh) that when the Prophet (sall Allahu 'alayhi wa s-sallam) walked in the area around Mecca he was greeted by the trees and the rocks. This is a story about one of those rocks and it is meant for young children and their parents. It combines several Hadith into a single narrative to tell a true love story. All of creation is alive, worshipping its Creator and loving His Prophet (sall Allahu 'alayhi wa s-sallam). We have much to learn from a simple stone.

The notes in the back support the text with Quran and Hadith encouraging those who are interested to investigate further. For those who are not familiar with Islam it is a good introduction to the basic concepts of the nature of human existence and its purpose. It is a beautiful addition to any home library, for Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

This is a companion to the book My Little Lore of Light. It contains all the pictures from that book as line drawings to be colored in by the child. Each picture has a short caption from The Quran to remind the child of the story of that prophet. It should help to reinforce the stories.
