Kemp Jaycox was busy leading a typical life, active with sports, family and working in his environmental science career. Then came a stomach virus that caused his immune system to overreact, resulting in a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Now, in a race against time as his body shuts down and makes the simplest task impossible, he is intent on telling his life story to offer hope to others. His story is rooted in this unrelenting disease, but also in tragic deaths and unfathomable grief experienced in Kemp's formative years. While these experiences could have crushed him, Kemp has instead learned lessons of courage and survivorship from them.
