To some it refers to behaviour or action.2 It is a broad term, wide invoked in the common vernacular and the scientific literature to suggest a state of disagreement or opposition. Conflict is an action based upon the perception of partially incompatible interest or intention between two or more persons. The popularly understood meaning of conflict is a quarrel between two persons or group. 3 It can be defined as a situation in which a minimum of two actors (parties) strive to acquire at the same point of time an available set of scarce resources.
