Johnny Cantu is a huge fan of the 1950's, he wears his hair greaser style, listens to doo wop music, and plays in a 50's tribute band. After high school Johnny gets a night shift job at a remote warehouse in New York City and finds an unusual machine in an old wooden shipping container he suspects is a time machine. Johnny travels back to the 1950's and at first it is everything he hoped it would be. Johnny joins a doo wop band in Harlem and falls in love with the bands lead singer sultry and beautiful Ella Smith.
