Queen Mercedes (Mercedes Sam-Hogu) enjoys cooking Haitian food because it is her heritage. When her family moved to South Florida from Haiti, she discovered that her mother was an amazing cook and definitely knew her way around the kitchen. Queen Mercedes sharpened her culinary skills watching her mom and those she hired to prepare the most exquisite dishes. From pikliz to conch, epis to tassot, salads and wonderfully warm beverages and delightful desserts, she is honored to share my heritage and the island of Haiti through food with you.
