The pollen is poisoned with chemicals, and the genetic code of the plants has been modified so that they no longer are nourishing to All Life." "Earth Mother's skin, the soil, is cracked and dead. If we cannot pollinate the plants, not enough plants will grow to feed the animals and the humans. Life on Mother Earth will cease as we know it. The humans won't have food." "I'll help you, Ben the Bee. "Startling himself fully awake as he spoke out loud, Donya looked around. "Whoa. Manny, you'll never guess who came into my dream-space." Manny rustled his leaves and rumbled deep within his trunk, "Was it Ben the Bee?"

These mini plays are designed to be used in a fun, interactive way. The characters may be acted out live, or the black and white figures following each English and Spanish lesson (leccin) may be cut out and colored and attached to construction paper and mounted on craft sticks to produce puppet plays. Use your imagination, change names of characters to fit the people acting them out, and even write your own plays illustrating moral and ethical qualities that are good for us humans to practice. Epilogue One year later, almost all the humans in the neighborhood of Lantern's Waterfall were growing organically. The falls and pond had become almost totally herbicide and pesticide-free (Gene and Jenny tested them), and the surface of the pond sparkled and shone in the morning sun. Gene, Jenny, Emmanuel, and Major were relaxing by Edgar's Rock, listening to the soothing sound of the clear, cascading waters. All the other animal friends were enjoying themselves as well-Abigail diving for fish, Professor Pelican taking a nap, Slippery Frog swimming in the silky-feeling waters, Melvin and Hickory digging holes in the now-clean sandy shore, and, high in an oak tree, Princess Parrot telling Sammy Eagle, "Communication is the key. When the animal and the human friends work together, anything can happen!"

My husband and I are sitting around a small table with our friend Duglas Lomar, having lunch at El Café Paraíso in Granada, Nicaragua. Suddenly, above Douglas' head, a vision appears of an older woman with a round, brown-skinned face wrapped in a black dress. She reminds me of Duglas. She conveys without words that the man below her is a plant shaman, should be practicing that knowledge, and asks that we help him.Mi esposo y yo estábamos sentados alrededor de una pequeña mesa con nuestro amigo Duglas Lomar, almorzando en El Café Paraíso en Granada, Nicaragua. De pronto, sobre la cabeza de Duglas, se aparece la visión de una mujer anciana, de rostro redondo, y de piel oscura, la cabeza cubierta con un manto negro. Su cuerpo está cubierto con un largo vestido negro. Ella identifica a Duglas. Me dice sin palabras que él es un ser que sabe de la naturaleza, y debería de estar practicando ese conocimiento, y me pregunta si lo podemos ayudar.
