Das Smartphone übernimmt als ständiger Begleiter im Alltag eine Vielzahl von Aufgaben, wofür früher verschiedene Werkzeuge verwendet wurden: Notizbuch, Taschenrechner und Walkman vereinen sich in einem Gerät, das mit der Berührung von Bildern auf einem Display gesteuert wird. Welcher Strategie bedient sich die Gestaltung dieser Bilder, um ein leicht bedienbares Gerät zu schaffen? Wie hat sich dieses Design verändert? In welche Richtung entwickelt es sich in der Zukunft? Am Beispiel von Apple iOS versucht diese bildwissenschaftliche Untersuchung, mobiles Software-Design besser verstehbar zu machen.
