David is a transgender, but for 25 years went from not knowing it to fully denying it fearing shame. For a period of 22 of those years delved into drug use in a polysubstance abusing manner and only God and the transition would prove to be the way out, and the way to grow up. David is now okay with life, God, and sobriety all because of how good it feels to be a woman.
