Lies and how they have influenced the public and created a society of hate, policies and laws that reinforce it even against children. It touches on today's idiocy of our unregulated guns and the mayhem they have created. How just one industry knowingly created the effects of climate change the world and millions of its people are experiencing today.

We must ask ourselves about what is happening in our world today and where is humanity headed. Extinction? Certainly not in a time frame that anyone living today could possibly imagine. But we can look to the long-ago past and the present as our window into the possible far-off future. What can we see through that window? The book paints a landscape of events occurring today that are disturbing. It tells how we have been treating our Mother Earth since we arrived on the scene and how she is responding. We have not been kind siblings.

As humans our time frames are too short. We live in terms of today, tomorrow, next week or possibly next year. We cannot fathom how our actions or non-actions may affect the future in fifty, a hundred or two hundred years. We are nor wired for that. We will not be here, so why be concerned about something so far in the future? But Mother Earth will still be around. She is not going anywhere. She has been in existence for 4.5 billion years; we are the new kids in the neighborhood; she is forever. We can drastically change her as we have been doing for a long time but we cannot destroy her. We hear people speak of "destroying the Earth" and its true the damage we have been inflicting on her may make it impossible for her to support life as we know it. But she will endure, we are not destroying her, we are only eliminating ourselves.
