    Dr. Samson Chama obtained his graduate degrees from the University of Georgia in Athens (UGA) and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond (VCU). He has over 20 years of practice experience that involved collaboration with several multinational organizations, including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the World Bank, United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), World Health Organization (WHO), International Labor Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). He is currently a full professor of social work at Alabama A&M University, where he continues to engage in active research in several areas of interest. Some of his research projects include exploring the impact of HIV/AIDS on young people's social, health, and economic well-being, the criminal justice system and its impact on minority college students, social justice and human rights, international education, and study abroad. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed books, articles, and book chapters. He is also actively involved with several local and international non-profit organizations.
