"There is nothing in this world that forgiveness cannot heal."Waya Ridge is a homeless man in his mid-forties who has no concern for anyone else-only himself and where he's getting his next fix. He steals a bicycle from another homeless "friend" and takes off down the Pacific Coast Highway where a callous motorist rams into the back of the bicycle and continues on, despite sending helmet-less Waya flying headlong into the rocks on the cliffside just beyond the railing. It is a driver passing in the opposite direction who witnesses the hit-and-run and stops to rescue the broken man. Thus begins a new journey down a completely different road for Waya Ridge-and his sister, Ahyoka Ridge, who has issues of unforgiveness for her brother.

Necromancer is a cat who wants to be the best familiar that ever rode on the back of a broom on Halloween. All the witches laugh him off the block when he asks to become their familiar because he has white paws. Betwixta is a half-human, half-witch who doesn't fit in with the other witches. • - Second Anthology of Works
    av Shari Broyer
    161

If you enjoy reading an eclectic mixture of prose-fiction: humorous, animal "tails", sci-fi, thriller, YA and even children's fiction; creative non-fiction, poetry and song, mixed with artwork (photos, drawings, paintings) then this anthology is for you. (Although most of our works are intended for an adult audience, we wanted to showcase all the genres our group writes in, and several of the pieces herein are suitable for all ages.) Our members are both published and aspiring writers (with talents in other areas, as well) who gather once monthly from all around the Phoenix metro area to critique their works, hone their craft, and share their love of writing. Some of these pieces were workshopped within the group and some were not. All were edited by a professional manuscript editor-who also happens to be the founder and facilitator of the group.
