It took a lot of praying to find out how the Lord wanted me to put this book together, and which messages to include in the book, because there were so many wonderful messages He had given me over the years. The first part of the devotional book is entitled, "BE STILL," and it's filled with words of encouragement for your time when you are meditating and prayerfully sitting at His Feet.The second part of the devotional book is entitled, "ARISE Praying with The Father In the Midnight Hour" and it is filled with responses received from the Holy Spirit during prayer and intercession times in the midnight hour.If you want to experience the Lord, like never before; then come and allow these words of encouragement to usher you into His presence. As you read, "When My Heart Is Overwhelmed", you will be reminded the Holy Spirit is here, and that He is ministering to you right now; and willing to lead and guide you, if you allow Him."When My Heart Is Overwhelmed" is a 365-day, word of encouragement devotional, that will minister to you and help you to count it all joy by reminding you that even when you feel overwhelmed, the Lord will lead you on the path that you should take. This daily devotional contains prophetic words the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart day by day as I spent time with Him. These words have encouraged me when I felt like giving up, inspired me to stop having a pity-party and fight for what Christ has given me. They reminded me that I am more than an overcomer through Christ Jesus. I pray that reading this devotional will strengthen your faith; remind you of who you are in Christ Jesus and reiterate, there is nothing the enemy can do that will catch God by surprise. I pray it will cause you to see the light of the Lord's goodness during the struggles that you're going through.

The entrance of God's Words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple (Psalms 119:130). God's Word is our greatest protection. It's a shield that surrounds us, guarding our way and warning of danger. God will take us from glory to glory as we meditate, study, and apply the Word of God. It Is Written is filled with the written word, reflections, inspirational words from the Holy Spirit, prayer, proclamations, and praise. There is also a section on "When You Lose a Loved One" and it is written differently from the rest of the book because there were a lot of things the Lord wanted me to discuss. One of them was to share "my dark night of the soul" experience, and I wanted to include links and additional information for help and encouragement in your time of need. The Scriptures are authoritative. It is the Word of God. Accept it. Love it. Live by it. Answer the devil with it. He cannot answer the written Word of God. If you read the Scriptures from Matthew and Luke, you will see satan never responded to Jesus when He told him, "It is written." He always changed the subject. Satan knew better. Using the Word of God, worked for Jesus. It worked for His disciples, and it will work for us. We will use the same words Jesus used to defeat satan and cause him to flee: "It Is Written." Meditate on this: when the doctor gives us a prescription, the directions are on the bottle, and we take them as prescribed. So, why don't we take God at His Word and use His Word as directed? Your words have power when they are God's words spoken in faith through your lips. Thankfully, we do not have to wonder what God's words are. Jesus did not wonder or guess. He quoted 'It Is Written, ' followed it with the Word, and defeated satan (so should we). The Bible is the Word of God, therefore, let us speak as Jesus spoke and defeat the enemy. It Is Written will fill your heart with the truths and the promises of God's Word. When you speak the Word, they will come forth with power and will bring remarkable success to your personal life and your ministry. There is great power in the spoken word of the Lord. Do not allow anyone or anything to cause you to fear and doubt God's Word. Hold fast to your confession of faith and expect to see God move on your situation. Confess the scriptures, personalize them, and make them your own statement of faith. Store the Word of God up in your hearts, and let it overflow from your mouth. What an awesome way of harmonizing your life with the blessed will of God. The Lord said we would do greater works because He was going to His Father. Isn't it time we start doing greater works? Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY WORDS shall not pass away. Luke 21:33"FOR THE MOUTH OF THE LORD HAS SPOKEN IT"
