Synopsis"Being Gay is like being left-handed. Somepeople are, most people aren't and nobodyreally knows why. It's not right or wrong, it's just the way things are!" 'Color of God' is a book which will soon turn into a film is about a bum boynamed Vijay Singh. He used to live in Delhiwith his widowed mother, Kusum Singh, and alovely sister named Sneha Singh. His sister washer heartthrob! On the other hand, his motherwas the one who never embraced his sexuality!She was too concerned about society than hisson who was then terminated from his jobbecause of being a 'Gay'. His sister, however, was the only person who inspired him to be'himself'. After his sister's marriage, all thatVijay had was the presence of her mother. Itwas too taken away from him a day after thewedding night! A financially broken andunwaged Vijay was then accommodated bySneha's Family. Over time, his physicality, unemployment, and dependency on Sneha led toinconsequential issues in her new family! Thebrother-sister duo had to finally surrenderbefore the evil traditions and expectations of 'so-called' society. He had to shift before the rift sogenerated, could spoil his sister's relationshipwith everyone at her in-laws'. He finally had landed a job in New York Citywhere he was welcomed with lower-classaccommodation. It's rightly said, "When Autumn comes, canSpring be far behind?" With the change of time, one sudden day, Vijay was able to prove hisability before his boss Mark Richardson whenhe unexpectedly cracked a deal for thecompany! He had then fallen into the goodbooks of his boss. The workplace and apromotional life had made him too happy whenhe got one more reason to add a feather to hiscap. Sneha had delivered a baby girl! All thesebeautiful incidents were encountered with anunforeseen proposal of 'marriage' by Mark whohad then fallen in love with every bit of Vijay!Vijay was astounded! He embraced the joy withopen arms. Sneha fought all the patriarchy andwent to New York to attend the "Gay-Wedding".A grand, showy ceremony was hosted at NYC, Riverside Church. It was not even a day aftertheir marriage when Sneha announced hersudden departure! She left for Delhi where shewas escorted by her family. While driving theway back home, the family met a swift accident.Everyone inside the car lost their lives except forthe 21-month old new bee! The custody of the so-saved baby girl was handed over to CARA bythe cops. Devastated by the news, the Gay couplehad to return to India! When they went toCARA to assure the custody of the girl-child, they were denied! In India, A single female is allowed to adopt achild of any gender but a single male is notallowed to adopt a girl child. Even same-sexmarriages are not legally accepted!Vijay and Mark had to fight for the custody ofthe little one. Even at the stake of their newlyformed relationship, they fought against socialinjustice, sexuality, exclusiveness, andpatriarchy! They even embraced the significanceof Adoption and Surrogacy for same-sexcouples which lead to an International mediadebate on LGBTQI. The case was finallypresented before the Supreme Court Of India. Will they get the custody of the girl-childand be the first Gay Couple to create therevolution? Or Sneha's only life will moveinto the hands of the unknown? This will bethe biggest cinematic debate in the history ofLGBTQI rights! The story's climax willlead the readers on a roller coaster journeyof emotions and a sense of justice for suchmen who do exist in our society.
