This book is meant to be a universal children's book. That means that a parent or friend of a child of any nationality can use this book because their child will be represented in it. The illustrations of children in groups should include Caucasians, Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, and Native Americans. All children learn and grow through the same stages. Parents love and protect their children in the same way. So the book will show children how alike they are and how they can relate their experiences to those of others. The main character of this book is really the child reading the book or having it read to them.Where there are animals in the book, they should be Mom and child or parents and child.
