It's clear from early on that this collection of poems is written from the perspective of a victim of sexual assault. An eloquently composed coming to terms with that trauma, this is an emotive journey of self-blame and self-discovery, of learning to gradually feel accepted, to love and be loved again, slowly dismantling the walls that she built after her horrifying experience. A beautifully compiled, yet raw, experience for the reader.
