Walk with the author through his daily account of a 40-day fast, extracts from his study journal, including many exciting adventures both natural and spiritual while on the mission field in Papua New Guinea where he spent six years. For the first three years he established a Bible College in Port Moresby. He then spent another three years as the field director of the mission, before returning to pastor a great church and Christian School in Australia.

In times of uncertainty we desperately crave something to bring comfort to our troubled hearts. Whether it's a song, art, a piece of music or an inspiring poem, we seek to find a temporary place of refuge against the turmoil of the times. This collection of poetry is not a panacea for the ills of modern society. It's not an escape, rather it aims to reflect with candidness the complex, sometimes contradictory, emotions of the human experience. Feelings of despair, hope, love, and anger can assail the mind at times and sometimes it's almost impossible to put those feelings into words. It's my hope that those who read the myriad of emotional shades and colours of my own personal experiences will find a comfort in knowing that we're not alone.

Develop a Can Do Attitude! It will Change Your Life! It has been said that "If You Do What You Love and Love What You Do, You Will Never Work a Day In Your Life". Nothing could be more accurate than that! This was my life! Monday was exciting to go to my day job, whether it was rebuilding transmissions or programming and solving problems. Then when Friday came, I worked on the houses I was rebuilding, every spare moment! Be a free thinker, accept what comes along and find something good about what you do. If you cannot, then maybe it is time to move on. Somewhere down the road, the perfect job may be waiting for you, but you will never know unless to take that step. Create a belief system, as I did, that will work for you. Life is full of wonderful people, who given the chance, will help you along the way!
