In this gripping and deeply personal account, Will Slater plunges into the front lines of the climate change activist movement. As Slater navigates the twists and turns of this formidable journey, he unveils a potent mix of passion, fear, despair, and hope. From the science behind climate change to the transformation of international climate agreements, from the rise of youth activism to the intersectionality of climate crisis and social justice, Slater guides us through the complex landscape of one of the most significant social movements of our time. This is a powerful exploration of the resilience and determination that fuels the fight for climate justice.

I heard news that an office block, in the centre of Derby, had closed down due to bankruptcy. These shots were taken not long after the place had been stripped; with only a few things left behind I wanted to capture the eariness of the forgotten rooms once packed with people and soon to be demolished.

'Bred in the bone', a series of photographs documenting the deep rooted traditions of farming and rural life. Capturing the characters at the well established cattle auctions and local farms around Derbyshire and Staffordshire; I wanted to show how very little the lifestyle has changed through generations. These scenes remain relatively unchanged over the past decades.

FIRST DAYS OF THE REVOLUTION is the story of a young man coming of age in the early 1960s, before the words ΓÇ£hippieΓÇ¥ and ΓÇ£countercultureΓÇ¥ had been coined, when disillusioned youths were just beginning to reject their culture and follow their own internal compasses.Wicker Pensky had been unhappy with his life for years: postwar America was prudish and banal, suburbia was spreading across the country like mayonnaise ΓÇô bland and monotonous, and the excitement of discovery had been sapped from the educational system. Wick wanted to live more freely and creatively than society allowed, and he longed to return to a more natural existence. He dropped out of college, set out to find a more libertarian lifestyle, and landed in the middle of the bohemian underground ΓÇô freewheeling and rife with eccentric characters. He lived in various utopian communities, including a Walden Two, and ran with a troupe of actors dabbling in Shakespeare and street theater. His experiences and relationships allowed him to finally express and explore his feelings.WickΓÇÖs observations and insights, salted with humor and peppered with ironies, vividly portray the people he encountered ΓÇô a growing population of rebels and misfits like himself ΓÇô and capture the excitement of those revolutionary times.
