Selena has settled in to being a crime boss with her cronies at the Red Light Lounge. But when a sadistic drug dealer attempts a bloody takeover of their territory, loyalties are strained and alliances broken. All forces are aligned against Selena, including her most lethal enemy-her own self-destructive lifestyle. Never one to back away from a fight, Selena puts all chips on the table and lets the dice fly. Suicide Lounge is the third book in the Selena series. Praise for the SELENA SERIES: "Greg Barth cooked up something mean and served it up and I hope none of you choke on it because it's mighty tasty." -Eryk Pruitt, author of Hashtag and Dirtbags "It's like the wildest of the men's adventure novels of the '70s, updated for the new millennium. Definitely not for the faint of heart." -Bill Crider "Reminiscent of Larry Brown's Fay, but less innocent and more violent, Selena combines fine writing and an indelible character to help fill the gap of female protagonists in the world of noir." -Vicki Hendricks, author of Miami Purity "Greg Barth writes with a knife-like edge...A fast, crazy read." -Marietta Miles, author of Route 12 "Greg Barth writes a hell of a book. He steps on the gas and doesn't let up for a second." -Michael Finamore "Mister Barth writes well-hard charging and fast paced." -Tony Knighton, author of Three Hours Past Midnight "This book had me turning pages and gritting my teeth...a total punch to the gut, and it hurts so good." -S. W. Lauden, author of Crosswise "Selena is a visceral pulp thriller that had me gripped from the outset." -Tom Leins, of Dirty Books Blog "This series is a literary legend in the making" -Will Viharo, author of Love Stories Are Too Violent For Me "Selena is a tour de force of unapologetic sex and violence, not for the faint of heart but definitely for hardcore fans of fast paced, unrelenting pulp-noir in the fashion of nobody except Greg Barth." -Shane D. Keene

Selena is living the dream on her terms-carefree and sloppy and all in the pursuit of pleasure. When a careless act of petty theft puts her in the crosshairs of a violent crime syndicate, her choices are clear-either curl up and die, or tear down the whole damned organization one bloody shotgun blast at a time. Nothing will satisfy her but savage retribution. Nothing can stop her. Get ready. Dan is a con man and a drifter just looking for a ride east. A strange woman in a business suit picks him up on the highway, and soon they're going 70-miles-an-hour and she's got a gun pointed at his head. Instead of shooting him, she hits him with a proposition to make some fast money. Against his better judgment, Dan sneaks into her office and steals the key to a safe deposit box. He thinks he's made a clean getaway until he's stopped on the way out by Kate, a sultry accountant who knows something is up and is looking for a way in on the score. Kate offers Dan a better deal, and the two figure out a way into the box. But there's no money inside. What they do find is enough to track down a shady photographer who holds the promise of even more treasure. But deception, misdirection, and murder keep Dan on the run, as he begins to realize that Kate the office drone is not what she seems, and the lady on the highway who he double-crossed may be the most dangerous criminal he's ever met.

Reese has tried to live a good, honest life. But life has other plans. From the boss's wife who wants him to do something terrible to the sleazebags trying to set him up, when things go downhill, they go fast and Reese finds himself fighting for his life as the hard luck piles on. His only way out might be to throw away the moral code he's been living by, face trouble head on and prove you can only push a man so far before he pushes back-hard. Praise for NINE TOES IN THE GRAVE: "If dead bodies, a dystopian view of the world and whip-crack dialogue are your thing, then this tale may just be for you." -Crime Fiction Lover "Beetner is an old school talent, a crime writer's crime writer like Gil Brewer (although, in my humble opinion, he's better than Brewer), who writes stuff that is fast and funny and dark all at once." -Jake Hinkson, author of No Tomorrow and Hell on Church Street "Nine Toes in the Grave reads like a runaway train going downhill, relentlessly gathering speed as one bad decision builds upon the last. One part noir, one part humor, one part action, one part philosophy, viciously shaken, served straight up. Where Reese ultimately ends up may surprise you, however. Beetner unquestionably knows how to write an adrenaline-fueled adventure, and he's never been one to be beholden to tradition when he does. With Nine Toes in the Grave, Beetner shows that coming full circle doesn't necessarily get you right back where you started." -Reviews by Elizabeth A White "A stripped-down, old-school blast of noir." -Rob W. Hart, author of New Yorked "This book does everything right and further demonstrates that Beetner has a keen eye on how to plot a book that never allows the reader a chance to catch their breath. It is criminal how entertaining Beetner makes this book. Why criminal? Because murder, double crossings, and a woman with no heart shouldn't be this fun to read about." -Out Of The Gutter
