Later, at the beginning of the 20th Century, Spirituals and Sorrow songs were confused as coming out of the same whishes by collectors and religious apologists.Please remember that many to the communities forcibly migrated from Africa were familiar with Hymns because of their immigration from Egypt thousands of years before. What we hear today is, all of the song were performed in what are referred to as "the blues". As stated by Gellert, this music was brought from Africa with the, . This music was adapted to the current circumstances and has continued until the present.The intellectual nature of these Escapists compositions was never promoted. Thus, because of how the actual songs were sung, the intent of the lyrics was not understood. Only Gellert understood the use of the word Escapist as a metaphor of "Sorrow Songs" urging the populous to take the Underground Railroad to escape to freedom. Freedom represented the name avoided.The idea in giving this lecture as a narration/dialogue play short story is to create a setting in which the scholar learners may visualize the conditions people lived. The point is to use a lyric poet to speak about the feeling the oppressed poor felt during the time these songs were composed and delivered. The accompanying lyric post is an African American blues singer. This lyric poet comes from particular reference points because his lyrics are universal to all poor people of the world.

Mr. Currie discusses how it can be difficult to share the reasons he believes in God, which is what motivated him to write this book. The main thesis is that it makes as much sense scientifically and logically to believe in God as to not believe. He accepts that you may disagree with his choice, but hopes you will consider that belief is not necessarily a delusion or something that ruins everything. With some discussion about what we mean by belief and God, he presents the reasons and evidence that support his belief. Some reasons to believe are based on things he doesn't believe. He doesn't believe that nothing produces something, that matter has always existed, or that intelligence, consciousness, emotions and a sense of morality arose from inanimate matter. He believes that there is evidence of design in creation and life that points to God. These things require an autonomous, intelligent, external to our time and space entity, God. He also believes that the arguments against God are not adequate to negate the plausibility of sensible belief. He believes in free will. A person can choose to believe or not. Either choice is based on a person's understanding of the evidence along with faith.

His parents sent him and his older siblings to church, never attending themselves, except that his Mom started attending in her late 60's. He attended Chicago's Ashland Christian Church in his younger years, taking a break from church during his teen years, attending sporadically until late in his nine-year military career where his older bother introduced him to Mr. Herbert Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God. He remained a member of this church over 30 years, most of that during extreme legalism, and through the time it had a major doctrinal change to Christ-centered worship. He's now been a member of Mesa First Church of the Nazarene for two years. Pastor Ira Brown and the congregation are very warm and loving. It's Martin's second home. His two favorite hymns are, "Oh, How I Love Jesus," and "To God be the Glory" He presently lives in Mesa, Arizona, and his daily goal is to live according to God's will and follow His path.

At the present time I live in British Columbia, Canada, but was raised in Alberta, Canada. I grew up on a farm in a family of seven with loving hard-working parents. I am married and have three grown children and one grandchild. I have been a Christian for about thirty-five years and am thankful for the friends who brought that about. Robert Morris II recorded eight hours of interviews with his father, Robert Morris, MD (1904-1990), from which he drafted an autobiography and presented it to his dad on his 85th birthday. Until Dr. Morris' death 15 months later, they collaborated to correct and add to the original memories. Dr. Morris' career was unique in several ways: He dropped out of medical school twice, returning to farming, then vowed that he'd become a doctor or die. The third time in medical school, he led his class most quarters. Married a nurse and settling in the village of Medina (pop. 400) in 1935, his practice and reputation -- especially as a diagnostician--grew until his death. He made home visits extending to five counties, the last doctor to do so in this area, delivering some 2000 babies in the home, while also serving in four hospitals. He was a devout Christian and lay leader in his church. Two of his daughters married doctors, two others became ending as a writer. Dr. Morris tells both painful and humorous stories about his life.
