These Notes are a record, of my day-to-day spontaneous thoughts, about some personal experiences of urban-life in Reading Berkshire. Intentionally sociologically and phenomenologically informed, recorded as it were, on the hoof, hence, this is a mixture of raw verbatim responses of a small sample of the town's people, of their experiences of the hustle and bustle of this multi-ethnic population of a particular urban town, with questions on community and integration, with future hopes and expectations, on its way to citydom', and my sociological reflections on the social, political and economic environment.

The origin of the old Scottish expression "Heart was roasted" has long since been lost of the annals of time. However, let me assure everyone that we (and Wee) Scotts are not - and as far as I know - never have been cannibals. The famous Scotts actor Sir Billy Conolly is an expert in use of such permission. So those who wants to know more can ask him. The expression simply means that I was not, by any measurement, well-behave child. In fact, I was a positive horror. Having said that, I assure you that you will not find three sixes tattooed on my scalp. Although it has been suggested that I was the original model for the children's comic 'Dennis the Menace.'

This work is about an investigating reporter. Marcus Wilton. Reporter, Marcus Wilton, has a strong sense of duty. He writes a daily column and front spread feature articles on getting justice for the underrepresented. People call on his help when the judicial system and all else fails. and is at wit end. he was their last resort. The big conglomerates media shy away from those suffering the oppression of injustice. It wasn't news worthy, until it becomes news. Then like vulture the feeding frenzy starts This is why he report and will not stay silent; Marcus has been called a loose cannon when his investigation brings about the fall from grace of powerful individual who thought they were above the law. many truths have been exposed because of his articles. Political giants who have been manipulating the law for decades. *****What inspires me? [one] always the changing season {two words] and [three] languages. Each in their yearly abode fills me with revolving inspiration. Seeing life through the eyes of time. Each have an ever-ongoing amazing story to tell. Words in its wonderful alluring seductiveness. Words seduce mind soul and spirit. One runs with it laugh with it cries with it and marvel at it unravel and reveal new avenues, crescents, byways broad and narrow openings. Words allow us to expresses it with million-fold intensity. One word sown in sadness or joyful gladness releases in fulness; several hundred thousand words page turner. So delightful. One sit down to write and enter into the mystery of words; and onto that countless way that will take us in many twists and turns. And yes, we can still find the Unique. Words with many connections; like planets and stars in the universe. Words have a real presence and a grand consistency. And languages. Not of nations, country or region of people; but of people as worked related. A police officer speaks with a language much different from a solicitor, barrister or judge. So different from the everyday Joe and Jane. Doctors, and those within the medical field have another kind. Criminals also have this separate language especially those in organised crime. The mafia drug dealers and suppliers. Street peddlers market stall traders. Stock market traders extricate from all others language, and is embedded with signs. The picture I am trying to paint is of autumn leaves in the fall. Nature colours at their natural best.

Mario Antoine explores the origin and development of football in Malawi, previously known as Nyasland, in this book.Little is known about the humble beginnings of Malawi football and how two separate associations for Europeans and Africans drove its development. With other countries such as South Africa, Southern Rhodesia, and Mauritius also having separate associations, this was not uncommon. The author highlights how the British, who travelled overseas to work and as missionaries, played a critical role in introducing football to Nyasland and other countries. After the British colony attained independence in 1964 and changed its name to Malawi, the sport continued to grow in popularity. As the years went by, apart from selected matches, games were played on a regular basis among Southern Region clubs, which formed the Indian Sport Club in 1920, followed by the Goans Club in 1928. Some of the families that pioneered the formation of the European association known as Nyasaland Football Association still grace the shores of this land today.

My interest in the Russian Expeditionary Force (REF) began some years ago when I went on a Battlefield Tour with Flanders Tours led by Lieutenant Colonel Graham Parker OBE (retd.) supported by his wife and daughter. The group visited St Hilaire-le-Grand the location of a Russian church, a Russian military cemetery and some memorials. Annually an event which takes place there is a gathering of Russian exiles who relive their and their ancestors lives in Russia. At the time of my visit I was collecting postcards of the War and inevitably I discovered and bought my first postcard of the REF. The postcards are not prolific and I slowly began my collection with visits to postcard fairs in the UK, France and especially the annual international fair in London. This latter fair attracted dealers from the continent. I still have hopes of finding some of the more elusive cards for my collection.

The historical novel 'Ashoka the Great' is the life story of one of India's greatest monarchs, living in the 3d century B.C. The Ashoka-chakra, the wheel of Dharma, adorns since India's independence the Indian flag. His nearly 40 years' government is viewed today by scholars as the first welfare state the world has known. In part 1 of the trilogy, The Wild Prince, we see how his passionate but honest character leads him often into difficulties. He is praised for his pride and courage yet feared for his direct tough actions, looking through the trickery of enemies. As the successor of his father he becomes The Wise Ruler, part 2, a governor ruling with wisdom, strict laws and justice. After a terrible war in which numerous people lost their life, he embraced Buddhism, forswearing all wars of attack. After years of ruling, applying the wisdom of Gautama the Buddha, he becomes Dharmashoka, the great admonisher, part 3.

In the beginning, the truth will set you free. Yes, it's not original; but if it starts the writings of the Bible, it's good enough for me. I have always had what I call a knowing. Others call it psychic, clairvoyance, etc. This is nothing new. There were many instances of knowing ability in human beings throughout history. In biblical times, they used to call them prophets. In fact, the writing you are about to hopefully enjoy have been given to me by this very medium that I think is referred to as automatic writing, written simply so there can be no misinterpretation of the story and the message it contains. I am aware that this book will invoke emotional responses from all who have read the Bible and follow the associated religion. This book is not written for any religion or cult on earth-all without exception because God and Jesus have nothing to do with them. Suffice to say, all religions are about control, especially over women, and about conquering the minds of the population. Religion is a man-made concept. God, however, exists and is freedom and everlasting life. There are already many versions of religious beliefs. The world is bursting with them, but supposing that there is an alternative to the culture of being brainwashed from birth into a judgmental religious zealot. This stands regardless of where you just happened to be born in this world. Brainwashing or culture starts from birth, from our parents, from school education, and from the work you do, culminating in the church or religion you are a member of. Imagine no religion, only God. I hope to show the reader what I have been told through my psychic walk on the other side. Have you ever heard the story of Chinese whispers? One that sticks out in my mind is, "e;Send reinforcements. We're going to advance."e; After the whisper goes around, it finally reaches the final person, who says, "e;Send three and four pence. We're going to a dance."e; Add to this concept that the Bible was written three hundred years after the year of our Lord (AD), then it isn't wrong to assume that this is exactly how the Word of God and religion has developed.

John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. Jesus describes a thief as one who does not use the door but climbs up some other way. Already, we know the devil comes as a thief and his aim is to steal, kill and destroy, (John 10:10). This book shows the way in which the enemy comes. It reveals the friendly enemy who knocks on your door, come in to your life to steal, kill and destroy. You would identify the enemy and all his evil strategies in this book. If all friends were really friends there wouldn't be betrayal and disloyalty. Walk gently through this book and receive the wisdom of God against friendly enemies in your life.

Victory with Honour, is an account of my stewardship whilst I was onboard NNS OKPABANA as the Commanding Officer from 2015 - 2016. The book renders a chronological narrative of my operational and command experience onboard the ship beginning with an opening chapter giving an expose on the essence of sea power and the concept of navies, a brief historical perspective of the NN in the second, and the third chapter begins with my own story. In between, I also gave my view of the maritime security situation in the Gulf of Guinea and how to address the challenges being experienced therein. The book then continues with a personal account of the various exercises and operations that the ship participated in whilst I was in command. Chapter Eighteen being the last chapter gave some leadership principles, though navy-centric, could apply to almost any sphere of life. Largely esoteric in nature, I believe the readership would be inspired to draw lessons from my experiences and also add to the corporate/institutional knowledge of the Nigerian Navy as a whole. I also believe more needs to be laid out in the public space on how Nigeria as a maritime nation, has potentials to become a sea power state like other nations with access to the seas did in the past.

This is a thematic collection of sincere thoughts and opinions born out of deep convictions, unique experiences and interesting observations from the author's childhood to youth and experiences of others. Experiences at home, in school, on the street, with friends, from books etc. Essentially the book is presented light-heartedly in a conversational, narrative and contemplative parlance. Once in a while the temptation to use some technical jargons for connation presents itself, and it is helplessly used in a casual but generally vivid language. The book is intended to be a documentation a life shaped by a unique setting of time and place, highlighting valuable deductions for the reader to consider even as the author makes attempt to step aside to critically view details of his life along the spectrum of time, with a childlike curiosity but an adult's thoroughness.
