A father and Mother' journey from poverty. The love that they shared for each other, and their eight children was unconditional a love that have continued to grow, eternally, even after their deaths. The gut decision Mom and Dad toiled over, for many sleepless nights, to find a way, to relocate the family from a destitute environment, it was courageous and profound. The sacrifices they had to endure, each day, for the family, was inconceivable dire, residing in a small poverty laden coal mining camp in the State of W.VA, before, during, and after the United States Government' 1930s economic depression. It was devastating and unrelenting, living without the basic essentials of food, clothing, and household necessities the whole family had to endure But their faith and belief in God, and their will to survive, the family overcame the torments of poverty, and begin to live a better and decent life, eventually relocating the family North, to the State of Ohio, in 1953 (All praise To God, Mom and Dad)

Words from Within, a poetry picture book composed from a variety of styles, caters to the inner unspoken words of the author. This further explores the grandeur of both lyric appreciation and life journey. May it be a call for love, sadness, happiness, and confusion. Images that resonate with the written poetry serve as the setter for the tone, which is a rare attempt and idea of the author for a possible new combination of genre.

How do defender's win trump tricks? Other than having high honors, natural winners, it's by getting an early ruff of a short suit. Far more fulfilling and intriguing possibilities arise in poking away at declarer's trump suit and plucking out an unexpected trick. Trump promotion has been described as the magic of creating trump tricks that didn't exist at the beginning of the deal. The basis for this is simple. By putting declarer in a position where to win the trick he must ruff high, he promotes one of defender's cards to a winner. At times this can be surprising and clever. Often when it seems you have no possibility of further defensive tricks, along comes a trump trick seemingly out of thin air. A trump promotion, often referred to as an uppercut, creates a trump trick in a defender's hand where one doesn't exist. A couple of actions to note involve giving a ruff/sluff where declarer has no losers to discard. But partner is also void and ruffs high enough to force the next hand, either dummy or declarer, to ruff with a relatively high trump. In this book, Jim takes you thru the various techniques of how defenders achieve trump promotion. There are many example deals followed by quiz deals to help you when you face these problems at the bridge tables.

This book is a sequel to my previous book, SIX BIBLE STORIES THAT NEVER HAPPENED...but maybe could have. It takes additional minor characters of the New Testament-a pagan woman, two blind men, the father of the apostles Matthew and James, and others--and presents fictional stories about them woven into the actual Biblical narrative. Justa, a pagan woman, is presented with a back story of true faith, genuine love, debilitating tragedy and miraculous healing. She is introduced as a house slave who longs to be respected and loved. Her story follows her as she learns resilience from Mary and Joseph, how to love and be loved from her beloved husband Danel, and her true worth from Jesus. Micah and Asher's story begins with them as thieves partnering with Eli, an unrepentant ne'er-do-well. Then, through the concern of the apostle Nathaniel, they are lifted up from blindness to sight, both physically and spiritually. The story of Alphaeus is about a man who is obstinate regarding his Jewish beliefs and traditions, even if his stubbornness means being estranged from his sons, Matthew and James, and creating heartache for his wife, Rebecca. Alphaeus' adamant stand leads him to join Saul in persecuting the first Christians until he and Saul are ironically called to be ambassadors for Christ. These stories engage and inspire, for they not only speak to questions of faith in the context of the start of Christianity, but they also touch on challenges regarding faith and the meaning of life facing contemporary believers and unbelievers alike.

Robert Norfeld wanted life his own way. Tossing his blanket aside, he sat up. It was early morning and the house rocked with pounding footsteps and loud voices. It was moving day. Packed in the rusty station wagon, the Norfeld's headed to the peaceful town of Tuttlebury. Shortly after unpacking, came the arrival of twin brothers making them a family of eight. Next on their doorstep was the second arrival; a spanking hew refrigerator sent by a friendly neighbor. The refrigerator was huge but the corrugated carton that held it was massive and possibly useful. Not certain how to repurpose it, the box was hauled off to the shed and set in a corner. But this box was no ordinary carton. For it would call to the four older Norfeld kids; Robert, Danielle, Paul and Natalie and carry them to unimaginable places. Places where they would explore the impossible and experience the awesome and wonderful. This book embraces the extraordinary within the most ordinary of days, hurling lives to an adventure beyond their wildest dreams.

When it comes to evil, America has a very serious problem. 2015 In Chas SC, 9 people were gunned down in a church for America. This is a sign, it is now time to stop our foolishness and take a stand. Why? Because our children are being killed by stray bullets. We are the world. Yet still we close our minds to what we see a nation of hate, pain and poverty. Children are looking up to us and they all deserve better. Somehow we all must find a way to make this nation a better place. I do not wish to be a part of this problem but please help this book be a part of the solution. R.shine.

Consonant blends and diagraphs are one of the hardest skills for early readers to master, and they are essential skills for reading. These skills assist readers when learning unfamiliar words. Kiersten is a little girl who had trouble learning to read and was really embarrassed after kids laughed at her when she stumbled over words in class. After crying to her mom about the horrible day she had, the two worked together to help Kiersten master some phonics skills. The book is designed to introduce early readers to these skills.

In the Hijacking of the American Presidency: Terrorists in the White House, when Chuck Chisolm gave his report of the splinter group's intent to assassinate the sitting president and have the vice-president, their hand-picked puppet installed in his stead, the reaction by the agents and policy makers present, was indicative of the view held by many that Americans would always behave according to the rule of law provided in the constitution and a belief system long considered superior to others. "e;Butthat's like hijacking the presidency of the United States of America,"e; one agent protested, his voice almost cracking in panic. "e;And putting terrorists in the White House,"e; another joined the protest. "e;This cannot be,"e; the deputy exclaimed. "e;We are the United States of America, not a Third World country ruled by juntas."e;Later when the deputy of the Department of Defense was apprised of the plan, his reaction was similar. "e;Mother of God, "e;the Department of Defense deputy shouted. "e;What you're talking about is madnessmadness. Madness! You're talking about hijacking the presidency of the United States. You're talking about overthrowing the constitution of the United States, and you're talking about a coup-de-tat right here in the United States of America. Has everybody gone mad?"e;The bottom line is, since the tenets of the constitution and the long held values considered 'American' are no longer considered sacrosanct; one can expect radical changes that mirror even fractious societies. Consequently, our security forces can no longer be merely reactive, but must be placed on a proactive footing with the ability to act preemptively if it becomes necessary.
