Pavlo Prokopovich Glazoviy (1922-2004) - the legendary Ukrainian poet-humorist and satirist. It happened that our life paths crossed, and our close ommunication continued for twenty years of the active creative period of the poet's life (1974-1993). Published in Ukraine on the centenary of his birth, the book of our memoirs and selected works of the poet "Unforgettable Pavlo Glazoviy" ( FOP Stebelyak, Kyiv 2022) attracted the attention of readers, which influenced our decision to introduce it to the American reader. The work of Pavlo Glazoviy is imbued with the Ukrainian folk spirit, and this is its peculiarity and enduring value. The poet uses theexpressions beloved by the people, the treasures of the living language, Ukrainian proverbs and sayings, as if giving them a second wind, which makes up the unique flavor of his fables. His rhymes are light and melodic. The often coarse, vernacular, unpretentious content His humorous poetry is combined with the sophistication of presentation. All this is extremely difficult to preserve in translation.

When a soul arrives into this world to begin its journey through life, it is given one body and one brain. There will be one person for sure, possibly more, but hopefully two to greet them. They will be nurtured, cared for, and instructed in preparation for their life journey. The origin, or starting point, for their journey will be set, and their destination will be the same as every other soul on every other journey through life. Their ability to make decisions, and the choices they make, will determine the route they take. Some journeys will be shorter, and some will take longer. Even the shorter journeys may encompass an entire lifetime of experience while some longer journeys may seem interminable to the point of madness. Some journeys may be smooth sailing right to top of the mountain. Some may be chaos with no clue as to direction, sense of order, logic or reason. Some will lead others and some will feel compelled to follow. One fact for sure is that every journey will be a story. This book is such a story. I was there at thebeginning and I was there at the end. This journey is "Marie." For that reason I kept other character's names out of the story and addressed them by nouns, pronouns, or affectionate nicknames, unless they were famous or known celebrities. We should all have someone to tell our story. It would reduce the time we have to spend listening to people telling us their own version all the time. I suspect there are parts of this story we can all relate to. My wish is that if you read "Marie" you will know that you are not traveling alone. Every minute of every mile takes us closer to our final destination, so what's your hurry?

Our God is a God who is in total control of all that happens to the whole world and to each of us individually. God can allow or prevent bad things from happening. Of course, most of us desire that God would prevent bad things from happening. When we are seated next to the toilet on an airplane, we pretty much assume that God could care less whether we are seated next to the toilet or are seated in first class. Yet God controls every single action that occurs in the world, or He would not be God.When we are seated next to the toilet of life, we discover, as Job did, that God allowed this to happen for all things to work together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. God's plan for us, who trust in Him, are to prosper us and not to harm us but to give us hope and a future. The purpose of this book is to show that no matter how bad the evil and sin that confront us, God is in total control, and His words of promise to us will be fulfilled. On this earth, you may lose all that you have: family; friends, wealth, health, possessions, dignity, and told to curse God and die, as Job was. Through God's grace and mercy, you can endure as Job endured.Do not think that Job endured only because God knew him as a "blessed man who lives righteously." You and I are most certainly not of the character of Job, but God has seated us next to the same toilet of life where Job was seated. Because God is always nearby during our trials (He told Job that), we will discover God's specific plan for us when He does seat us next to the toilet, whether it be on the plane or on the earth.

The most learned healthcare professionals and researchers cannot even agree if a virus is alive or not. Politicians and government leaders could not care less if the virus is dead or alive as long as it is useful to claim the prize of political power and earthly control of our country's citizens and Republic.Bacteria and viruses have been with us since the beginning of creation. In the beginning, everything was good and worked together. After the fall, all of creation was cursed. Good and evil now coexist. There are good viruses and bad viruses. Good viruses kill bad bacteria and give us immunity to bad viruses. Bad viruses rearrange and reassort to act as "powerful counterforces" to the human population. The pandemic virus of 1918 lives on, as will the coronavirus of 2020, as the microscopic and macroscopic forces and the unseen and seen forces of good and evil fight until the end.Evil and bad will not win in the end as God's hand is always on top of His creation and in total control. His grace continues to be abundant. He even directs particles of viral DNA and RNA, encased in HA and NA, to choose reassortments that favor optimal transmissibility over lethal pathogenicity. Even "bad," possibly nonliving viruses "know" that when they kill their hosts or incapacitate them, they have reached a dead end, and who wants to end their "lives" that way? Not even viruses.God's Natural Law will not be smashed by humanity or by viruses. Humanity and viruses will ultimately be smashed by the Natural Law. Even if politicians and learned scientists and researchers do not understand that coronavirus will never leave either, we need to learn to live with it.True wisdom begins with the fear of God and not the fear of coronavirus.

I m William Wineman, known as Wine-no Willie The Kang of the Tenderloin! LaErtes asked me to say something about the four tales in this book. The boy pays well so I say ok. COMPLEX - about a man named Pyriel who is hiding out from the government because they want him and any like him for their Special Workshop; a tap into the powers of the mind thang. Pyriel chooses an apartment complex that is run amuck by bad ass kids. Once Pyriel realizes what he's gotten himself into he tries to help these brats and that's when hell breaks loose. THERMAL - this one messed with me. It's about haunting, possession, voodoo, death, and conjured up demons. I killed a fifth of Jack while reading this one. HARVESTER - which is the story I personally narrate is about an Indian legend parents told their bad ass kids to make me mind, and what happened when that legend came to life. NEED - this tale reaches past the Exotic-Erotic of the entertainment industry, and is clearly blown away. Once you've read it you'll understand what I mean. I told LaErtes he should apologize to the readers for using vaguer language, the destruction of innocence, and the explicit sex and violence throughout the pages of this book. The boy told me, Shut up - keep drinking my Jack Daniels. This book is about the salvation of the soul. The boy got a point there!

Beauty for Ashes The Before & After gives a beautiful picture of what God did for the mourning people of Israel. When Isaiah writes the words "Beauty for Ashes," he uses a Hebrew language. The Hebrew word for beauty used here refers to a headdress, turban, or tiara. God declares that He will wipe the ashes off your head and replace it with a beautiful headdress.Jesus gives peace to the hurting ones of today. He gives a peace that surpasses anyone's understanding. Jesus releases us from the bondage that sorrow brings and makes the meaning of this verse more powerful. The ashes are dark in color and therefore it stains everything it touches. Jesus is the only one that can purify the ashes, which have stained your heart.
