It is important to first understand God's original purpose for marriage and the family. The family was the first institution that God created in the earth. It was created and designed to reproduce the image and glory of God in the earth through the human race. Therefore, as the marriage goes, so goes the family, and as the family goes, so goes society, government, and the world. And the world, society, and the family can never be fixed until the God-ordained marriage and family are restored. This is why God hates divorce, because of what it does to the family and every aspect of society. And because it always involves sin, unfaithfulness, and breaking the solemn oaths, and covenant vows, entered into, between one another, and with God Himself. And because divorce, is the death of a covenant relationship with a family; it means something that was once precious to everyone involved has been torn apart and lost causing pain to everyone involved. And over 60% of divorcees will remarry, in most cases creating blended families. Therefore, blended families are born out of brokenness, loss, failure, pain, grief, and bitterness. Everyone in the new family now needs love, comfort, and healing. In most cases, these individuals do not have the conflict resolution and communication skills to deal with these problems. In this book, we will explore these dynamics and challenges of blended families giving God's solutions for grace and healing.
