Journey to Christmas consists of two tales. The first is about Noel, a Christmas tree angel, in search of a tree to top before Christmas morning. Her original goal is to find the perfect tree. Along the way, she learns a valuable lesson about the meaning of Christmas and her role in spreading Christmas joy."A Donkey's Tale" follows the life and adventures of Sammy, the donkey who carries Mary to Bethlehem that first Christmas. It follows his life as he stays with Jesus's family as Jesus grows up. Sammy is telling his story to his grandson, who will soon find out that he may soon begin a story of his own serving Jesus! Both stories are in English and Spanish, arranged in such a way as to assist those who are trying to learn either of the two languages. The book can be used for personal enjoyment as well as a language teaching tool.

The world today groans under the weight of many crushing problems, but it's not intellectuals, presidents, or political parties who have the solutions. The rescue agents are born-again believers who fall under the "great commission," and that's you. This command for you to go into the whole world is not given by One who would leave you an orphan. God will equip you, but you must do it His way. Once you're a believer, God appoints you to two roles immediately: One as the receiver of God's word; one as the deliverer of God's word. Many faithful men and women have little problem understanding the first role. They see themselves as student-learners who must grow in God's word and get enlightenment by the Holy Spirit. Many faithfully fulfill the biblical prerequisites of prayer and preparation, and they become quite good at understanding the scriptures. Over the years, the Holy Spirit guides them into deeper and deeper insights into God's word. It is as they move into the role of deliverer of God's word that they have problems. Many people will "shut" them out; the delivery has failed to adopt a biblically required role change. To be effective in this new role, God's messengers must "Speak with God's Voice" (title). This means they must speak authoritatively and prophetically. These biblical prerequisites have been very much misunderstood and abandoned, leaving the message from God's word a mere man-made endeavor. God may bless this type of message, but the only way to guarantee God's anointing is to deliver it His way with His voice. This book explains in detail how these scriptural requirements are put into effect. Remember! The power of the Holy Spirit (unction) is available to ALL believers, but it is not automatic. A dear evangelical preacher of more than thirty years, who pastors a church on the New York-Pennsylvania border, read this book and made the following comment: "I would highly recommend this book as required reading for every minister and ministerial student. It is one of the most practical cries for, and description of, 'anointed preaching' that I have read. For too long the church has tried to dazzle people with new music, new technologies and methods, and missed the high calling of preaching the Word under the power of the Holy Spirit! Thanks, Louie, for your inspiring words!" Pastor Dan Pickering &am

Danielle loves her job. Working with all the different movie companies is exciting and comes with a lot of perks. However, when the job forces her to leave home during the holidays, it produces a mixed bag of emotions. Granted someone has to get everything arranged before the crews flood the area in January. It should be a simple task, and while she's at it, she can enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime all-expense-paid tour of Europe. As the saying goes, however, "the best-laid plans often go astray." Early in the trip, things take a turn, making it a wild ride. Missed steps, interesting people, and troubles of all kinds make for an adventure to remember, that is, if she survives. She definitely said, "Adventure! Please, no more!"

  • - An Intrinsic and Extrinsic Examination of the Lack of Counsel Among Fallen Leaders
    av Dr Michelle Robinson
    181

What happens when your life is spiraling out of control? When did it start? How did it get to that point? And why did you not seek help? Why Hast the Mighty Fallen? An Intrinsic and Extrinsic Examination of the Lack of Counsel among Fallen Leaders is inspired by the deeply rooted passion of its author to end premature deaths, suicides, physical, mental, and emotional compromises that many leaders face, particularly pastors and senior leaders of corporate organizations and politicians. This book references many of the fallen leaders in corporate America. But it also highlights the successes of those leaders who stand tall today. Some chapters are testimonial and transparent because of the author's own plight as she knows firsthand how the lack of counsel can alter your life and the lives of your loved ones forever due to an unwillingness to seek help. The book is intentional about laying out the pitfalls and step-by-step ways to avoid those pitfalls in a very practical, nonconvoluted manner. There are points where you may laugh or even cry. But the purpose is to motivate you to do something about your current situation. It will not go away unless you do something. The author understands that sometimes personal rebellion and deep wounds resulting from the rebellion and sin of others cause us much pain. Noteworthy is a quote from a revered author: "We often think of brokenness and neediness as bad, but the gift of pain draws us into community with God and one another" (McMinn 2011).

This is a collection of the poems the Lord gave John B. Branson. When the Lord called John to move from Green River, Wyoming, to Seattle, he went in obedience. As he drove through the Yakima Valley, he found himself pulling off the road again and again to add more to the first poem God was giving him.John recognizes these poems are an entire result of the gift the Lord gave him, and so it is with great joy he gives all the glory to God, hoping these poems will give encouragement and faith to those who read them.

  • - How Jesus Touched My Life
    av Candace Cherry
    187

It was a dark time in my life where I was doing things wrong by stealing, cheating, and living a life full of sin. Not knowing that there were consequences to my actions. Living in a world that is fallen and evil to the core. I was suddenly lost and without hope and didn't know which way to turn. Prayers weren't being heard, and life was spinning out of control. One thing after another was coming at me.I was brought to my knees, and I found myself broken. The shame was unbearable and too much for me to bear. I prayed to the Lord, and nothing happened. I found myself crying for mercy to the Lord and begging for his forgiveness. I didn't know how I was going to get through this painful part in my life.As my cry entered the Lord's ears, he had answered me, and he told me that he has forgiven me and his peace he leaves with me. The peace he gave me was not of this world. He told me to serve him and not sin. He told me to walk uprightly before him and to always acknowledge his son, Jesus Christ, the savior of the world. The day the Lord touched me was the greatest day of my life. I suddenly had regrets, wishing I had known the Lord sooner in my life. The Lord is so good and merciful. If I had only given him my life sooner, I thought, and then he reminded me that I wouldn't have the testimony I have today if I would've known him sooner.God has perfect timing, and he is always on time. Those who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Wait patiently upon the Lord, and he will place you upon the rock of salvation, and that is Jesus Christ.

"Experience teaches" has proven to be a true statement throughout my lifetime. The greatest and most profound experience happened when I was twelve years old. I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. That was the beginning of my faith journey, and it continues today. Every life experience taught a vital lesson and established faith as the bedrock of my existence.Faith for a Lifetime contains true stories of faith, miracles, and answered prayers. Hopefully, reading this book will inspire you to seek God's presence and experience the guiding power of the Holy Spirit.Nothing is so trivial or so difficult that we cannot share it with Him.It is God's good pleasure to be involved in our life every day and in every circumstance that touches our life.Life consists of joys and sorrows, good times, and challenging times, but every experience has a purpose and shapes us into a vessel of honor if we submit our lives to Him or a vessel of dishonor if we choose not to trust Him.The quest of life is to seek and find our destiny and purpose for being here. It can be found by faith in God, His Word, and hearing His voice.Faith grows as we use it. May yours last a lifetime.

The title of this book came to me half way through writing my story. I, originally, was writing about my life and following my dreams. This book began as an autobiography. As I progressed through the book, God changed my path and reminded me of all that Ive been through. At this point, I realized that this book really wasnt about me. God took me back in time, and it became about what Ive been through and what I can do to help others. God guided me through this story and revealed my inner strength. He helped me put this story into words in order to help others in their lifes journey.May glory be to God.

Cynicism developed early in life is a condition from which full recovery is unlikely. Direct exposure to repeated claims of personal holiness formed a wall of resistance and resentment. When those claims were clearly contradicted by observed behaviors, he was destined to form his own system of unbelief. Events of personal loss, perceived abandonment, and hardened independence left his mind firmly fixed in a form of agnosticism at the age of seventeen. Parentally forced to attend a Christian college, with no financial assistance, his unbelief constructed an impenetrable shell. Then she appeared. With what seemed to be a coincidental meeting of their eyes, no words exchanged, he suddenly realized hope that might change his miserable, lonely existence. Nagged by his cynicism and resentment, the hope quickly changed to an impossible wish. He knew that his view of religion would not change and he knew that the ladies on the campus were likely to be seeking Christian mates. In spite of those factors, he continued to search the campus in the hope that he might find her. Another coincidence gave him her telephone number, which led to an informal meeting. He was surprised when she invited him to join her for the campus prayer meeting. Becoming better acquainted, he saw in her a person who clearly enjoyed a real familiarity with God through Jesus Christ and whose conduct bore witness to it. He informed her that he could not be a Christian. Her simple reply was You will be.Throughout the succeeding years, her prayers sustained him through military service and ultimately presented a most unexpected path to his salvation. Together, they enjoyed an endless, limitless love for each other that held them through the harsh realities of life. This is a true account of pure, unbroken devotion.

My Objective is to make people aware that this pious bunch of religious leaders today are no better today than those of the religious system in the days of Jesus. In the days of Jesus , they had many more commandments than listed in the Torah. Today there are 613 commandments. To read them go to www.Judaism101 :A list of the 613 Mitzvot (Commandments). You will find their list of commandments for 34 subjects, three times more subjects than commandments.According to the 2008 Census :In America there are 314 denominations and theyre broke out into classes. Twenty eight have the largest membership. Thirty five are Christian Religious denominations (makes you wonder what the 28 are) One Hundred Twenty four are Other Religions and One hundred twenty seven are New Age Religions. If each of these groups had only 2 of their self appointed commandments that would give us 628 , but I can almost guarantee they have more that just two.In Mark 10:17 The rich man ask Jesus What must I do to inherit eternal Life? Jesus replied KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS. He was referring to those listed in the Torah, not man made.God made it so simple to serve Him. Only man has defiled the system He gave us !!!!!Hence The Thieves Of Simplicity

  • - Time-Travel Message In A Capsule
    av Larry S Buford
    267

Book to the Future is a historical and faith-based account of how what we do and allow today will affect tomorrow. It is an attempt to hold conditions of our times up to the light of truth and standards for all times. Just as a seaman relies upon the North Star, and weights and measures have to be re-calibrated for correct readings, mankind has to have standards for a moral compass. We're at a time where people are being misled to do what's right in their own eyes. We have thousands of different church denominations and doctrines - one denomination claims to have the right answers over all the others, and there's no common ground. Proverbs 3:7 says, "Be not wise in your own eyes: fear [revere] the Lord; and depart from evil." Can you imagine a country where every individual is allowed to pledge to their own self-made banner? That would be chaos. The American flag signifies one nation, the United States. In God's kingdom, there is also one banner, Jesus Christ. If we denounce the American flag, we are denouncing our citizenship. Likewise, if we denounce savior Jesus (not prophet) we are denouncing our citizenship in Heaven. It's been said, what one generation does in moderation, the next does in excess. The more we continue to lower God's standards as set forth in the Bible, the more we fall into immorality. Just look around at where we are today! If you were able to go into a future devoid of God's standards, would you know enough about His standards to help others re-calibrate? The Bible is to us what an owner's manual is to a car. If you want to know more about your life and what you can do for our posterity, read it and try to live it to the best of your ability. Make a difference in your own circle of influence.

  • - God's Means of Restoring His Church
    av Dr Leslie A Powers
    251

Making the presence of God known in the world goes to the very heart of the churchs purpose. Yet it is a formidable challenge. How can the church make the presence and glory of God a reality in a world that both denies God and hates the church? By the church bearing the image of Jesus Christ in the world through word and deed for, as the unknown author of Hebrews declares, Jesus is the radiance of Gods glory and the exact representation of His being (Hebrews 1:3).It is not the primary purpose of the church to specialize in economic, social, or political issues but rather to proclaim the good news of what God has accomplished in and through Jesus Christ. When the church quits proclaiming Christ, to proclaim a message of love, acceptance, tolerance, and affirmation, then it ceases to effectively fulfill its purpose and loses its relevancy. Christ came into the world to proclaim the Gospel in the marketplace, and He did so while never surrendering His identity or sacrificing His purpose for the sake of relevancy. He expects his church in every age to do likewise. The greatest need in the church today is exactly what the early church needed in the first century. In a church that is infected with a spiritual apathy, has forsaken her first love, has compromised truth, and is lukewarm, a new vision of the risen and glorified Christ dwelling in her midst is needed. The only method God designed to lead the church to recover the awareness of Christs presence is prayer and preaching that focuses on Jesus Christ. Thus, if the church is to flourish again, there is no greater need than a recovery of faithful, powerful, biblical preaching whose subject is Christ and the new birth.

God knew all the half truths and misinformation concerning His creation process so he asked me to do something new and write the book. He wanted people to know how much he cares for us and want s us to be on the positive side of His creation. He wanted people to see and understand how He unfolded His ongoing creation process and a semblance of what can be expected in general in the future. He wants us to grab a glimpse of His endless variety both visible and invisible to His and our enjoyment.

Aslyn’s Unicorn is a story of a young girl named Aslyn who is the pride of her father, King Stefan. At the start of the book, she is a precocious child just turning twelve, who, on her daily walks, encounters an adult white horse with a glowing, golden horn in the center of its forehead. Talking with her father, King Stefan, she learns that the creature she saw was a unicorn and that they are rare, beautiful Faerie creatures. Thinking and dreaming of the unicorns convinces Aslyn that she should go on a quest like her mother had before her and try to claim one of the mystical creatures for herself. The quest starts with Aslyn traveling into the forest in her father’s kingdom, and she uses what her daddy taught her about living outdoors. Her travels are uneventful until she goes to a small village for a tavern meal. There, she is accosted by a slovenly man in the tavern who mistakes her for a serving wench. Aslyn is saved by the village priest, who takes her home and feeds her and lets her sleep in his chapel house. The following morning, Aslyn meets the other occupant of the chapel house, a girl only a little younger than she, named Mirrile. She has purple eyes and wisdom beyond her years. The two girls get close quickly and share secrets of their lives, and Aslyn learns from the priest and Mirrile that there is a Land of Faerie and that the creatures she quests for are alive beyond her father’s kingdom. The final part of book 1 finds Aslyn gazing upward to the peak of her world’s natural wonder, the Worldfall, which plummets several thousand feet into a deep pool. Beside her are Aslyn’s companions who had come to her from the start of her quest: Shadow, a 700-pound talking black wolf, and her mare from home, who she finds out can also talk, named Nightlight. The journey to the top of the Worldfall takes three days, and Aslyn’s curiosity grows, as Shadow tells her he is taking her to someone called “The Lady” who rules the Land of Faerie. Shadow explains that the unicorns live at the top of the Worldfall with the other creatures of Faerie and that Aslyn’s quest will finally be over but that The Lady wanted to speak with her about other matters.Aslyn and Shadow finally arrive at the top and are met by the first of the Land of Faeries inhabitants a small creature known as a Bee Sprite, who leads them to the great oak, which is the home of The Lady and her court. Aslyn starts to learn about the Land of Faerie, including some of its dangers. But through getting to know the creatures, she finds that they are just like her own people and that the bad feelings that exist between the Land of Faerie and the land of the man-folk have become a disruption in her world. During her time, in the Land of Faerie, Aslyn learns that The Lady is her mother who is named Krystionna. She had disappeared when Aslyn was a little girl.Aslyn finally learns why she had disappeared. She also learns that she has a sister, the young girl Mirrile from the village below. With the sisters united in front of their mother, The Lady gives the girls a new direction for their lives as teens. She wants them to work together to heal the split between the two peoples and reunite the world and its creatures. The girls talk about it and decide to accept their mother’s wishes, so as the seasons change in the lands below, the girls set off again in the company of Shadow, for Mirrile’s village. Journeying back to the chapel house, Aslyn spends a day or so with the priest and Mirrile and then prepares to return home, a more mature young woman with a different outlook on the world around her. Saying good-bye to all her companions, including Shadow who returns to the Land of Faerie, Aslyn and Nightlight thread their way back toward the castle by the sea, in her home of Avalonia.

Today, America's most dangerous enemies are not the terrorists or those wanting to kill us. They are the unseen evil forces that have been slowly depleting us of morality, decency and value in God. Evil has taken a seat not only in our movies, media, music and schools, but in our White House. The Evilution of America has been eroding what our Forefathers fought and suffered to create and is turning the United States into a country void of everything Godly we once stood proudly on as the greatest nation in the world. Author, Leo J. Battenhausen, exposes the true reality of the battle between good and evil going on in America today for our souls and how politics and the media are working together with evil to gather them up in droves. The Evilution of America is a must read for every citizen of the United States who asks the question, "What happened?" Battenhausen is a licensed psychotherapist, social commentator and syndicated radio guest as well as the author of four other books that speak to the human condition in America today.

  • - A Seven-Week Study of Women in the Bible
    av Janet S Jagers
    241

Why are women mentioned in the genealogy of our Lord in the first chapter of Matthew? Why five women instead of three or four or even seven? And why these particular women who are so very different? Janet Jagers answers these and other questions in her book, The Five Women of Matthew 1. Listen to the stories of Tamar the Canaanite, Rahab the Harlot, Ruth the Moabite, Bathsheba the Israelite, and Mary the Mother of Jesus. As we study the lives of these five extraordinary women, we will discover wonderful truths like-no woman is so bad that she cannot be saved, and no woman is so good that she does not need to be saved. As their stories unfold, we will discover anew the unfathomable debt of God's amazing grace and unfailing love.Janet Jagers has taught the Bible for forty-five years in women's Bible classes, Child Evangelism Fellowship, and Awana programs. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and is currently studying to become a biblical counselor through Light University. Janet is a survivor of breast cancer, Lyme disease, and lupus and writes to encourage other women as they go through similar trials. Seeing a need for studies on women in the Bible written from a woman's perspective, she is now turning her years of teaching notes into book form. Her greatest desire is to help women to develop a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and to pass their faith on to their children. She and her husband of fifty-five years, Donald, have three children who are all actively involved in Christian ministry, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Janet currently resides in South Carolina.
