    Upon learning the age of the "e;child"e; in question, Eleanor Sims made a beeline for the door. Had this man lost his mind? She did not intend to be a nanny to a grown man, and out the door, she went. Jonathan Marcus Howell II was a thorn in his father's side. Money meant nothing to him, except for the fact it was necessary and certainly was always available when he needed it. His mornings were spent sleeping, and his afternoons were usually at a country club. But on this day, before the night would fall, he would find himself at the mercy of a woman he had never known. He would be homeless and alone, but little did he know, it would be a good thing.

    The world is descending into darkness, and it's taking modern religion with it. And this nightmare is not an isolated incident reserved for just one branch of religion or one particular faith. No, this phenomenon, this falling away, has infected both large and small. It is a tangible collapse of faith that has begun to spread everywhere. It's like a religious pandemic has crept into the farthest reaches of the body and infected every organ with its symptoms of doubt and disbelief, killing off the weak and making sick the once proud faithful. We cannot escape the fact that a religious nightmare has descended upon the world we live in, and there doesn't seem to be a way out. Or is there? The Pattern of Calvary explores the forgotten truths of the Bible and the many reasons why we are in the religious shape we are in. It asks the hard questions about our existence and relationship with the Creator, ultimately presenting a simple solution to a complex religious problem of truth and getting us back on course with our Creator. "e;Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill."e;

    What is Truth?Truth is the existence of God. Jesus said, "e;I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"e; (John 14:6). Has God revealed Himself and His truth to humanity? How do we know who He is?We find God's revelation to man through Scripture in His Word. God has revealed Himself and His truth through His distinctive forms and functions during His Creation, His Son, and His Redemption. God exist and Scriptures hold the key to Finding Truth.

    My grandchildren and I were standing at the edge of a still lake feeding the ducks, when my granddaughter picked up a pebble and tossed it into the lake. The pebble quickly sank to the bottom of the lake, but the effect of the pebble created many ripples. They keep spreading and spreading from the center and there was no way to stop them. The Ripple Effect is based on the concept that we are connected. We can and do affect each other. The result is a building of community that will affect how we treat others and the way we live our lives. All of us have passion for something as well as a vision and hope to use our gifts and talents for a greater purpose. The Ripple Effect was originally written as a textbook for a character class curriculum using an athletic medium designed to change the culture of sport that provided collegiate student athletes with application model for character-driven athletics. Today, it has become a resource that provides a guide that can apply to anyone who has an interest in desiring to pursue competitive excellence that emulates Christ. We live in a culture today that promotes comfort, not challenges. We want instant gratification free from consequences of our choices. Our choices and actions represent who we are; what we believe and define our character. The ripple effect provides a foundation for a person to better understand who they can become. The most important relationship a person will ever have is with themselves. The question is, are we doing the best they can to become more than they have become. Each ripple has a message, which is the pebble, a theme, which is the ripple effect, and an application that provides the action necessary to develop and improve character. To reach significance in the athletic arena as well as life one needs to be able to embrace competition, establish quality relationships, and develop values, "e;rules of the road"e; that become the lifestyle. What happens when we experience the ripple effect? We become a person with a Christ-like perspective with a renewed purpose, a new sense of direction, and enhanced relationships.

    Trading Places is a book of poems that was inspired by my relationship with Christ Jesus. I have included the first poem I ever wrote, "e;My Life Is Like an Island."e; I wrote it when I was fourteen and not yet a Christian. There is quite a contrast to the poetry I have written after becoming a Christian and my first poem. Having a personal relationship with Christ Jesus is truly life-changing. As the Word of God is written in our hearts, we are inspired to grow and serve. It becomes natural to share the good news. Life becomes less about me and more about, "e;What would you have me do for you, Lord?"e; He told me to put the poems that He inspired into a book. After all, they were not written for me only. They were written for all of us. I had no idea how to publish a book, so God showed me how. Thank you Christian Faith Publishing.

    AMENThese are ordinary prayers that can be prayed every day by anybody, young and old, to quiet your spirit and lift your heart, mind, body, and soul. As the Holy Spirit speaks to my spirit, I just start writing these prayers as I hear the words being spoken by the Holy Spirit, whom I allow to lead, guide, and direct my path in life.

    This book contains the author's true-life stories with a few pictures to back them up. It's also based on the King James Bible. The author's life has been full of miracles since she was saved at the age of thirteen. She got married at age nineteen and then had 9 babies. After 42 years of marriage, her husband, Jim, went to heaven, and now she's had time to write this book that she calls My Walk with God. Her hope is that you will be blessed by it, and if you don't have a personal relationship with God, that you will ask Him into your Life as well, and begin your Walk with God. May He bless you all.

    What shall wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What shall make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. How precious is that flow that makes me white as snow. No other fount I know nothing but the blood of Jesus, and for this reason, I can say it is well with my soul. My sins are washed away and now I'm clean. This book is written with the intention that all who read it will draw closer to God. I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of salvation. It is my utmost desire that people will see Jesus one day face to face. I am deeply overwhelmed that the Lord has chosen me to be a mouthpiece to him. Psalms 32:8, he will teach us the way that we shall go, he will instruct you and guide you. All you need is to trust him. He is a spirit, and those that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 3:16, "e;For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whosoever believe him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life."e; Romans 9:33, "e;But as many has received him to them he gave power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."e; What a wonderful promise! And his amazing love for humanity. Why don't you just thank him right now for what he has done already on the cross and what he has for you for tomorrow. One simple method is to invite him in your heart and ask him to come in, tell him you are sorry for your sins, please forgive me. He's patiently waiting for your call. It is such a privilege to know the Lord and to encourage others to draw close to him

    You might wonder how an average girl, living a normal life, could find herself in the pits of addiction. I wondered that very thing. How could I have ever allowed myself to be controlled by a pain pill? So I decided to trace my steps, and find out exactly where I went so wrong; that's how this book came into existence. My story was written entirely by me. It's an honest account of my journey from being broken to becoming a far more beautiful version of myself. When I say beautiful, I'm not referring to physical beauty; I am referring to my soul, my spirit, and the essence of who I am. There is much that I am ashamed of, and sincerely wish I could undo. However, I have realized that I cannot change the past; I can only learn from it and make the present and future better than I thought possible. So, I choose to look at my journey as a blessing, for it's made me into the person that I am today, and I'm extremely proud of who I have become. It wasn't easy; it required a lot of hard work and determination, but it was worth every bit of pain that I endured. My sincere hope is that my story can serve as a lesson for others. I want my nightmare to prevent yours. And if, by chance, you're in the middle of your own nightmare, I want you to know that I am living, breathing proof that there is a happy ending waiting for you. Allow me to share with you what I never wanted anyone to know, my addiction and how I overcame it. Freedom and a bright future are waiting for you. Let me help you get there.

    Confessions of a Coward is a book intended to give men the freedom to acknowledge their fears and failures as men and more specifically as husbands and fathers. Once they find the strength to do so, they can then discover the path to courageous manhood. This is not a how-to book written from an "e;expert"e; perspective. This book does not give the answers but attempts to point men to the answers found in the grace, mercy, and truth of God. This is truly a confession of sorts and hopefully a road map out of the abyss of the cowardly lifestyle far too many Christian men are living today.

    My son Max Gold Dwares passed away on February 18, 2004, from complications related to a bone marrow transplant that he had on July 27, 2001, to cure him of chronic myelogenous leukemia. This book is Max's story as told by him (and continued by me) and captured by photographs by myself and other family friends in black and white and a few color photos as Max began his chemotherapy until his untimely demise at the tender age of twenty. The book was in the initial stages by Max but stopped as Max grew sicker, leading to his death. Max asked me to continue his book shortly before he passed away as a tribute to everyone left behind, but more importantly, as a reminder that while disease can be brutal and take lives, a positive attitude and faith can take you forward. Faith comes in many shapes and flavors. It doesn't matter what race or religion one is. Max was born in the Jewish faith but believed we are all created equal in the eyes of God. Max, from an early age, always seemed somewhat special. What I mean was he had a unique ability to seem to get along with adults and understand how they felt. He always knew what words to say to offer comfort and understanding. This continued throughout his life. This book, while at times quite emotional and honest, hopefully will serve as a guide for families going through a disease and how one reacts and lives through the process. It's a story of hope and dreams, of faith and questioning, and of one's belief in the eternal God when death appears around the corner. It's also a story of dreams and trying to attain them. It's a story of how families rely and rally around each other when the times get rough. It's a story of how someone battling cancer still needs to carry on and live life to the best, and it's a story and testament to a young man who lived a short time but accomplished so much and has left a lasting legacy. It's a story of how one's belief in God during good times and bad will serve as a beacon to guide one's spirit forward during the journey of life and life beyond.

    I have compiled twenty years of my drawings that people have often told me they would love to color. I drew these sketches in waiting rooms, national parks, riding in cars, on pontoon boats, and in my own back yard. My Daughter and grandson are often subjects of my work, too. Each one has a special memory for me, and I thank God for giving me this compulsion to draw. Each line and stroke was a prayer

    Are modern young woman coming out of college achieving all their potential, or are they struggling with fears, insecurities, unemployment, and many roles and responsibilities imposed by family and society? This book is a tool to encourage women to seek their true value throughout these junctions in their lives and to find their gifts. I urge them to begin this amazing journey called life with the end in mind. This book also talks to mothers and grandmothers about different career paths for women and what it takes for women to be successful so that they could aid and guide their young daughters and granddaughters through the different paths. The difference between a woman worth more than a ruby and a regular woman is the ability to endure and to learn through all the kneeling down moments of their life, the key lessons that will lift them up to all the upcoming leaning in moments. This book represents the heartbeat of those kneeling down and leaning in moments we face when trying to handle career and family. Most women are not prepared to deal with careers, family, and the glass ceilings that await them. If you are like me, you will fear many things, you will be misunderstood plenty of times, you will be ignored or put down, and you will be set aside, and often, there will be the urge to run away from it all, but I encourage you to endure it all with a life plan that takes you all the way to the finish line. I urge women to focus more on the character ladder and being grounded on their gifts, passions, skills, personality than on the corporate ladder we are often pressured to climb. I urge women to continue to find the truth, and I shared how I found the things that we all long for, such as joy, peace, gratitude, love, forgiveness, goodness and self-restraint through the most difficult kneeling down moments of my life, and all these have transformed me from a worm to a ruby.

    All of the information that you will find in The Christian Handbook of Survival comes out of the pages of your Bible. It's all there in plain sight, but you have to seek it out diligently, by asking God to reveal to you understanding of the letter or road map to success in the Kingdom of God. God wants to approve you, but you must study like you're studying for an exam or test in school. If you don't do your homework and test time comes, you will most likely fail. God is much more forgiving and kind than most professors would be in this case, but God wants you to know who you are, he already knows, he just simply wants you to know who you are. So this book was written to encourage you in your quest for eternal knowledge and to inspire you to pursue God with much passion, as you would if you wanted a husband or wife to live the rest of your lives with. It is with this same passion and desire for the Word of Truth that God delights in when he sees you studying to show yourself approved, a workman unto God, not being ashamed by rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

    Have you ever stopped to notice that the Bible is full of questions? Questions that invite us to look deeper inside of God's word so that we can see the fullness of what he really wants to say to us. In this book, Questions from the Creator, author Michael Cretaro takes questions from the beginning to the end of scripture and presents them in a way that is both entertaining and inspiring, educational and also devotional. In each question, there is a chance to look at what God is saying to us in a much deeper way. When considered in their entirety, this book takes the reader on a journey that will remain interesting and memorable. This book, Questions from the Creator, compiles a collection of sixty-three biblical questions that one rarely finds brought together. That makes it perfect for both individual study and bible study fellowships. And at the end of each chapter, there are questions for personal reflection or discussion. Questions from the Creator gives the reader a chance to do much more than just read the bible, it provides a chance to understand it, and in the process, grow closer to the creator who wrote and inspired it.
