She was like a mother to young Abigail, who lived alone in her father's house after his death. The steampunk clan lived in a cluster on the outskirts of the town while the others lived in town. The land each group farmed was separated by the town. The steampunk men farmed with steam-powered machines while the townspeople balked at change and continued to use horses to pull their farming equipment. Personal differences caused a rift between the steampunk clan and the townspeople as time passed. Socializing with each other became almost nonexistent. Conflicts arose. Spying and gossip became the norm for those who were both curious and disgusted by the steampunk people. There are secrets, cooperation among the steampunk people, issues at school, defection from some townspeople, and terror in the air as Aviator struggles to get home.Enjoy the lives of the steampunk people with physical, mechanical, and social differences that grew from a group of forward-thinking people--the steampunk clan.

Many sincere Christians are in bondage to all sorts of addictions and bad habits that have become strongholds in their lives. These strongholds can be anything from pornography, drugs, food, sex, gambling, etc. that ruin their marriages, employment, and most importantly, their Christian witness. I've experienced the shame and guilt that comes with these sins, and by God's grace, the Lord revealed how to use His Word to pull down these strongholds. I have written this book to help those who are frustrated with being on the roller coaster of guilt, repentance, and failure again. It is an easy read and simple to understand, pointing out God's plan in His Word for you to be free as Jesus stated in John 8:36, "Whom the Son set free is free indeed."

One theme that echoes throughout this book is that God had been preparing me for a personal encounter with Him. I recounted how things were during my childhood years. Through a series of circumstances, He set the stage and laid the foundation so He can in the future shape me into whatever form He wishes. In almost all of these testimonies, it's clear that He (El Shaddai) wanted me to understand what I can be through Him. He guided me through endless crucibles, all for the purpose of allowing me to see His greatness and His ability to transform my life. This book helps to unveil the secret of the inner man, that carnal nature that is in constant battle with the desire in you to do good. It explains that it is absolutely possible to win the battle between good and evil. The last chapter was very challenging to share because it exposes the weaknesses that we sometimes choose to deny. This book brings you face to face with your stubbornness and with one of the most destructive traits lurking within--it's called pride. You will be surprised to discover how deeply it has embedded itself in your consciousness, but you can get victory when you take action to deliberately surrender to God. You will discover perhaps for the first time that empowerment comes with surrendering. I wish you a life-changing experience as you share in this blessing.

When you read chapter 18 in the book of Revelation, you can easily become curious as to what country this place called Babylon the Great could be referring to. Theologians of the past said it was the literal Babylon located in Iraq; however, upon a more current review of the clues woven within the verses, we find that the evidence points to America. In this amazing comparison of up-to-date facts between a city in Iraq and the United States, ample proof has been uncovered and presented that was not previously seen. The author, a theologian himself, has hammered out another interesting read.

Marriage is a divine covenant! However, today, we are witnessing the total disintegration of this sacred institution in many societies globally as the divorce rate continues to escalate. This holy union is under attack more than at any other time in modern history. Our prayer is that this kingdom love manual will bring God's perspective on what we must do to restore sanity to this sacred union. Marriage, as instituted by Elohim, was designed to be a union that brings joy, fruitfulness, and the fulfillment of divine purpose. We write from a strictly biblical paradigm. We will not attempt to impose our personal opinions on such a sacred institution. Yes, we will draw from our experiences gleaned from our years of friendship and marriage. We will also draw insights from the hundreds of couples we have counseled and weddings officiated as pastors for well over thirty years now.We pray that our blessed Holy Spirit would grant our readers deeper insights and understanding necessary to craft a blissful marital journey. Marriage is a divine gift that the Lord designed to bring joy and fulfillment to both parties. But like any of life's endeavors, it comes with its own sets of challenges and complexities. We now live in a fallen world and are, therefore, subject to human errors and weaknesses. Fortunately, we don't have to navigate this journey alone. God has provided ample information to assist us in successfully navigating this journey.God instituted marriage, and in His wisdom, He left us a manual to help us navigate this journey--the Bible. He never intended the marital experience to be one of trial and error. Yes, He foresaw the many challenges, but with adequate preparation, moral support, and guidance from the Holy Spirit, we would be able to make it to the finish line successfully. In Christian marriage, failure is not an option. We commence this journey to win.

Death and destruction are the result of man's fallen nature. This world's history is filled with wars and rumors of war. Untold millions have lost their lives in these endless battles, and sadly, more battles are on the way. This book identifies the major wars approaching the people of this world, according to the Holy Word of God. Terrifying times are drawing near for those who are not saved and, as a result, will remain on this earth during these catastrophes. Praise God; this book also reveals God's simple plan of salvation and clearly describes what a person must do to be saved and escape the horror to come. God desires that all come to the Lord Jesus Christ, receiving forgiveness of their sins and an eternal home in heaven. He has done all He can by sending His precious Son into this world to die on a cruel Roman cross. We thank God that not only did Jesus die for us but that He was also buried and, on the third day, gloriously raised from the dead, giving eternal life to all those who receive Him as their personal Lord and Saviour. God never turns anyone away who comes to Him with a repentant heart. His grace is sufficient to take away our sins and gather us into His loving arms. If you are not yet saved, our prayer is for you to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour today, finding the peace and joy that only He can give.

Writing my true-crime autobiography is only half the story. The second half is my redemption and repentance to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. The book is 100 percent truth, from my wild childhood days in New York City to me joining the US Navy at age sixteen and serving eight years honorably. The only problem, I was living a double life. I was also a mob associate and worked with a crew from one of the five families. It was the early 1990s, the reign of the Teflon Don. I want people to know I'm Irish and Polish, not Italian. I did a couple of successful heists by myself after I was betrayed by my mob connections, who were also childhood friends. I tell my complete story where I was charged with the RICO Act, which is organized crime; conspiracy to rob an armored truck; as well as conspiracy to transfer currency across state lines. I never did no major time because of one mob contact, I'll call Big Loser, who was a total idiot. Every job he planned in New York with me went bust. Besides all that, he screwed up my job of a lifetime. My biggest mistake was picking him and his neighbor to take the money from the armored truck company I worked for.

In His Image takes the reader on a beautiful journey from conception to birth. Each stage of the development of a baby in their mother's womb is described in a fun and rhyming way. The rhymes promote the learning of an inquisitive child by including them in the process of development, by having them imagine what it was like while they grew in their mother's womb. Accompanying each stage of development is a Bible verse fitted perfectly to that stage to showcase the love that our Father has for each and every one of His children. The miracle of a growing and developing baby is inherently proclaimed in His Word and will forever be written on our hearts with love as we are all created uniquely and perfectly in His image. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.-Psalms 139:13-14 (NIV)

My Journey Through Grieving presents a variety of heartfelt and deeply personal stories by people who have traveled the road of grieving--a journey that we all must take at some point in our lifetime. Whether one grieves a little or a lot is greatly determined by the nature and closeness of the relationship that one shares with another person, and having someone to share the grief struggle with is often very helpful. Tragically, when one loses their closest companion in life, they also lose the one person most equipped to help them through life's hardships, and this only serves to multiply their pain.Reaching out to others can be difficult; but having someone to talk to and share memories with, following a loss, may prove to be the most beneficial thing of all. Sometimes the overwhelming nature of grief is such a heavy burden that professional counseling should be considered. Other times, a person might work through the process with the assistance of family and friends. Either way, the process will require time and personal commitment before the fog of grief will begin to dissipate, and true healing can be realized. How one lives, what they believe, along with the amount of faith they have in themselves, God, and humanity can play a large role in moving forward along grief's journey. Thankfully, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit will always be there to provide the guidance needed.May this book point you in a direction that will help heal your broken heart.

The concept of Manifest Destiny has been highly misinterpreted. Such items as the Cherokee Trail of Tears, the US as the hemisphere policeman, exploitation of Pacific Island Nations, and the list goes on, have been, and continue to be blamed on alleged Christian-based Imperialism.Hence this book focuses on setting the record straight, showing via a historical and political analysis how this misinterpretation has occurred. It begins with a focus on the initial premises dating to Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1630. From there comes a central focus on the Cherokee environment setting the stage for the Trail of Tears, followed by US continentalization, all within the context of the political-religious environment of the times and setting. In the post-Civil War period the focus shifts to the framework of the emerging Darwinian era, and its impact on the sociopolitical environment through World War I and Woodrow Wilson's vow to "Make the World Safe for Democracy." This with a focus on Wilson's explicit reference to the Darwinian base of his policy. From there traced is the link leading to the official announcement of the New World Order in 1989 by US president H. W. Bush and Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev. By this juncture, it is shown, the national philosophical foundation has succumbed to an existentialist-linked framework which impacted even much of the Christian Church, a situation which has expanded its reach through the time of this publication, underpinned via the expanding power of the United Nations. Finally, we reach the key purpose of the book, to demonstrate the positive impact which a reinterpretation of Manifest Destiny, in its true and original context, could have on our time, in light of the current national and international strategic scene.

Christian Mystical Theology: A Way of Life. Mystical theology as a way of life is Bible based. It includes single and married laypeople and the religious who were mystics known throughout centuries up to contemporary times. Mystics are messengers into the Christian and human communities from their divine encounter with Jesus. In chapter 1, "Committed Eros," Patricia writes about her dual marriages--her human marriage to Richard F. Frisch, fifty-three years, and her mystical marriage with Jesus, thirty-five years. "Committed Eros" shows her longing for faithful community development. Part 1 chapters also explain mystical theology, the language of the mystics, references for the enrichment, and in-depth exploration of mystics from the Bible up to contemporary mystics and the development of the Trinity.Part 2 flows from part 1 with examples from the Gospels and the Christian history of committed mystical friendships through the presence of Jesus. A unique understanding of Jesus and his mother's relationship to the incarnation becomes the basis for the following chapters regarding committed mystical, agape friendships. Church leadership, intellectual pursuits, and everyday life are finding balance and harmony. Harmony is rising through the mystics, contemplatives, and ordinary people who enjoy peace through prayerful participation in contemporary mystical theology. The book ends with the hope that everyone finds ways to share their prayer journey with the communities.

My motive for writing this book is to encourage the 30 percent of genuine Bible-reading believers to stand fast and on the word of God (Galatians 5:1). And to also encourage vigorously the 70 percent of nonreading Bible Christians to take the further step of faith to realize the fuller revelation and benefits of salvation like in Isaiah 61:1-7 and Isaiah 58, for example. For without this next step of faith, mountains would not come down, obstacles will not be removed, and onlookers will continue to look at Christianity as weak and lean.My working continuously from fifteen as a schoolteacher to now at seventy as a substance abuse counselor, pastor, child support specialist, workshop instructor proved it to me. Delivered from twenty-five years of alcoholism and its detriments proved it to me. Living unscathed with dangerous criminals in seven correctional facilities, including Rikers Island, proved it to me. Watching individuals in prison threaten to kill me and beat Jesus out of my ---- and then became my friend proved it to be so. Delivered from low self-esteem and clinophobia proved it to be so. Going for 1 percent in math to graduating magna cum laude at forty-four proved it to be so. Working on Wall Street for twenty years in and out of the mix unscathed proved it be so. Delivered from two cancers without surgeries and be handsomely paid proved it to be so. Having enormous peace and security and hope in Christ proves it to be so. Watching all of my bills disappear by standing and applying the word of God as Joshua 1:8 states proves it to be so.As one inmate counselor once told me, "Christianity works for those who work it, not for those who don't take the time to prove it so." Jesus Christ said this to be true, and I believe it because it works for me and followers like me with no regrets in every situation of life.

In the sight of God, precious they all are, no matter from where they come, whether near or far. Innocent and unknowing, vulnerable too--in many ways, God made them the same. He knew just what to do. We need to cover them in prayer and keep a watchful eye. Some are very bold and brave; many things they will try. Often they don't know the dangers ahead to face. Without much thought, trying this and that, in fear there is no trace. The little ones, the children, are of whom I speak. We must love, teach, and protect them each day of the week. So here's a short story to guide children along the way. Teaching them to be safe in this world, we should teach something new each day.Remember your young and carefree days? No worries, just fun (play, run, climb, jump, roll, tumble, and dive). Who thought about getting hurt? That only happened to "the other guy." Worry-free we were, always trying something new. We challenged each other to see just what each could do.Now we watch our children do what we had done. How do we keep them safe while letting them have fun? This is a colorful book of safety for the adventurous child, encouraging their imagination and teaching reality all the while.

Like Joseph, all of us have dreams or aspire to become, but like Joseph, there is journey and/or path one must take to arrive at that place. This is the unknown. Had Joseph known what was going to be required he probably would not have signed up for that journey. This book is about a vision I was given, which is symbolic of his life; Joseph was sold into slavery (by family), was accused of rape, and imprisoned. Yet at the end, he became the second most influential person in the land. Will you accept your call, and will you follow your path to your place of destiny?
